A Wrinkle in Time
Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing
The Admiral Thrawn Trilagy...that so kicked every other SW book out of the ballpark.

atm reading the Dune series. Just finished "the Butlerian Jihad" and reading "The Machine Crusade" now after finishing the original series and the House books.
Going to start that as soon as I finish The Rise of Endymion. :)
btw, u know when u love dune too much when some guy pisses u off and ur first thought is "i should spill your water for that!":D
(Notice a pattern? I value humor in literary expression.)
My second favorite would have to be Knight Life, by Peter David, based on the fact that David is my favorite author, and Knight Life is my favorite Peter David book.
definitly the dune books!

Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk
The demolished man by alferd bester
Dune by Frank Herbert
Enders Game by OSC
Watchman by Alan Moore
And you should all read The Beach by Alex Garland, a fantastic book and a subpar movie.
I just started re-reading the Chronicles of Narnia with my six-year old daughter. It has been a while, but they still charm me. We're on "Voyage of the Dawn Treader", my favorite of the series.
I'm liking the continuing adventures of DS9 myself @ the moment. I have to say the technomage trilogy is close to my favorite. Also love Peter David.
Going to start that as soon as I finish The Rise of Endymion. :)
it has crossed my mind :)
Any idea what my first thought was after reading about "the butlerian jihad" ?
Butler:
The head servant in a household who is usually in charge of food service, the care of silverware, and the deportment of the other servants
