I think Enterprise is rather entertaining ST series, no stupid kids, no too "funny" charachters and the best thing: no annoying charachteres! Atleast not in the first 1,5 seasons, because I have seen it only for the second season.
While I was extactic at the thought of no quark/nelix characters in Enterprise, the use of the vulcan as a sex object is a bit rediculous. Yeah, dont get me wrong, the actress is hot, but shes supposed to be playing a vulcan, it took Spock what 20 years with Kirk to make a joke or two, she spends 2 years with them and has sex with the Engineer.
As for DS9, the story started out pretty crappy, and I stopped watching it after like s3. I have been told that it got better, and am eager to watch the later seasons on spike. But if its just about cg battle sceens and no story, I doubt I will watch the whole episodes.
We all knew that Nemesis would be the last TNG movie, now if they plan on keeping Trek alive (which it looks like Paramount wants to), they need to do something fresh. A Starfleet Acadamy movie might be good, so long as there is no Wesley Crusher running around solving all the wrongs in the universe by "insert technobabble like phase combobulating the warp coil in a quantum state in order to form a static warp shell".
I think we all agree that Trek has been going downhill for a while. Its my hope that GOOD sci fi shows like Stargate Sg1, the upcoming Battlestar Gallactica (i hope i hope) can survive on television long enough to show the TV Public what good sci fi really is.
and maybe, just maybe we will eventually get a trek show that doesnt suck.

DS9 got much, much better in later seasons because B&B left it alone so they could devote all their time to destroying Voyager's hopes instead. As a result, the writers could produce a decent story.
