lets hope it's an enterprise movie. :) I know the series isn't over, but enterprise simply rocks.

(Not all eps, but the general idea behind it, and the current story...)
  • BigglesBiggles <font color=#AAFFAA>The Man Without a Face</font>
Dude. Get some standards. The general idea behind enterprise was good, and was promptly trashed beyond recognition 4 episodes into the show. The rumours that B&B may be reducing their role in Enterprise can only be a good thing for the show.

I thought it was too horrible to be true when I read the first rumors.

And, frankly, I still think so. Some may think this akin to closing my eyes, sticking my fingers in my ears, and humming, and to you I say.

LA LA LA! I CAN'T HEAR YOU! I'M NOT LISTENING!

I have pretty dang high standards Biggles, there is a REASON there are only five shows I watch. (Smallville, Enterprise, SG1, Touching Evil, and recently, Judging Amy)

Enterprise, while it does have some bad eps, is still better then 99% of the other crap that is put out there. (Friends, seinfeild, etc)
  • JackNJackN <font color=#99FF99>Lightwave Alien</font>
    Judging Amy?!? OMFG!!!

I preferred the Enterprise series to any of the films. There's been some crap movies IMO. The odd crap ep is fine. But to make a crap movie?! Bad, bad, bad. :)

    Umm....no?

IMHO (and those of many others), Enterprise is very comfortable in its spot of much suckyness.

But you like Enterprise. Your point is no longer valid.

If it's possible, I'd like to hear why you like Enterprise and why you don't like Deep Space Nine. If you want, I'd gladly state my reasons for my preferences. I'm just really curious.

I agree with you Dust!! I liked the original cast movies (as much as a die-hard Star Wars fan can), but they started going downhill with the TNG crew...in my opinion.

I like Enterprise (though I haven't watched it in a while). they've made an honest attempt at some continual plot lines (unlike TNG...unless you count the Borg or Q). I think the acting's pretty good, and it's kinda neat to see the start of human exploration in the Star Trek universe.

Just because something is better than 99% of the rest of the trash out there, doesn't make it instantly worth watching, nor does it make it "rock". Watching something just cause it's there isn't a good reason to watch it. :)

TNG wasn't about continuous plots. Like TOS, it was about the individual stories. However, it managed to superbly add character development to the mix. Enterprise, on the other hand, is attempting to add continuity and destroying it every time.

    Say it ain't so!!!!

In all honesty, Enterprise isn't all that bad if you can get past the noise of Berman chopping away at the Star Trek franchise.... :D

Seriously, it's not that bad. It's certainly better than Voyager. =) It's got potential (and still does), but Berman is destroying the franchise. The storyline arc is excellent, but the execution leaves much to be desired. The cast does a good job with the scripts, but talent only goes so far. ;)

    Dammit, Berman, stop. Just... stop.

the only good star trek was DS9, which makes it the only one that i intend to get at some point. first contact was good as well IMO

That's my biggest problem with it. They have this cast with lots of talent, and it's all going to waste because of shit scripts.
  • A2597A2597 Fanboy
I think striker got the point across nicely. Stated the reasons why I liker enterprise quite nicely. :D (And yes, there are crap episodes...but not all of them).

as for DS9....I quit after season two, when it could easily have been called "Da' Sluts 9"

  • A2597A2597 Fanboy
I have DVD's for that. :D (Same for futurama)
I'm listing shows that are currently on TV. :D
  • I watch.. the occassional SG-1 episode, when I actually remember. Enterprise is just bad, bad, bad...

I was never particularly fond of DS9, but when it started in, what, '93? I wasn't very much into SciFi either, what with being 6 years old. :p Is it on in rerun at any time?

    *bangs head against wall*

A2597, do you realize what this means?

It means you watched all of the bad DS9, and none of the good DS9.

Go find some DS9 reruns, and throw Enterprise away.

Uhh...and this from someone that watches a show that has a certain rubdown scene in the pilot episode where you can clearly see erect vulcan nipples, and later in the show a topless scene with the ship's translator....

Now if you had stuck with DS9 all the way through, you would've seen all the good stuff with CGI battles that put B5's to shame. (this is the part where you kick yourself repeatedly for missing it)

Sigh, Im afraid to tell you its not croxis, enterprise is indeed crap, and the united states is returing to its more conservative roots now that the insanity of the coldwar is over. Its here to stay my friend. And Enterprise will always suck.

So you prefer Entersluts instead? Enterprise has infinitely more of that sort of stuff than DS9 ever did.
  • A2597A2597 Fanboy
two eps so far, or was it three.....

    verses like, 5 consecutive episodes.

same reason I stopped watching farscape.

they do it to often in Enterprise, but at least the premise behind the show is done well. However, if they did start falling on the sex card to often, I'd stop watching it as well.

(Same as what happened to Buffy...)

Entersluts? Please, that isn't even trying. "Innerthighs" is a much more cunning (pardon the expression) pun.

Ah, nothing quite get's the creativity flowing than thinking up dirty names for TV shows.

Another one that I want to use before I forget it. Just thought of it while posting it.

    I submit for your judgement, "Lay-Me-Hon 5"

Ok I think I've had a misunderstanding here:rolleyes:  .......firstly I thought you was talking about Enterprise as in Capt. Picard??! Because thats the one I was referring to as a good series. The latest which I didn't realise being called Enterprise IS crap. I didn't like the ppl, nor the stories. Very corny. And I think they should quit now.
And DS9 was good but even that had some crap eps too. As for the CGI battles in DS9, I don't remember any being better than B5!
  • BigglesBiggles <font color=#AAFFAA>The Man Without a Face</font>
The one with Picard is TNG.
