Thank you! :) Yeah was amazed for another to show up so soon afterwards. Can't wait to get it!!!! I payed half eh?? Heee :p
If it was moonlit then someone might see since it would be bright! ;)
I'm sure some booze will be consumed by the others, think a keg has been ordered. Don't drink much myself but will have a tipple. Us guys will probably play some football while the woman stare and laugh. Think some hill walking has been mentioned aswell. A bbq is pretty much certain aswell!
Hehe well the tide was right out. Its a very big beach few miles away form where I live and it stretches for 3 miles too in lengh that is! Think it might be half mile or more when the tide is very low. Feels like it anyway lol. ;) So I could see if anyone was coming, though I guess if I hadn't, I would have to wait and possibly freeze to death til they went past.
A BBQ would be nice. Can actually imagine that after a lovely very warm day today!
Are you any good at footy? Not into it myself. :)
Yes I can imagine being exposed on a beach at night is a bit cold, and I doubt seaweed would add much protection from the elements :D
Think a bbq could be on for this weekend, looks like it will be nice!
Eh yes I can play football ok, can kick a ball straight etc, but I'm right footed only so can't mix my play up that much. Much better at gaelic football though.
Guess what??? WATCH HAS ARRIVED! WOOT FOR ME!!!! :D
Gaelic football is the national sport of Ireland followed by hurling. Gfootball is what Aussie Rules is based on (but aussie rules uses a rugby style ball). Here's the governing organisations site: http://www.gaa.ie/
My counties (co. Laois) colours is the jersey on the far right (top banner). Have one at home all nice and new! :D
It didn't take long for the watch to arrive... though it seems like ages ago esp since firstones was down for so long. Glad I have it now :)
No didn't have a bbq that weekend, shame really. Really need to fire it up soon though! Weathers going to be good this weekend too which is great as I'm picking up my new car!!! Wooohooo!!!
ShadowDancerWhen I say, "Why aye, gadgie," in my heart I say, "Och aye, laddie."London, UK
what sorta car are u getting? ive been offered an old VW campervan - the original 'Passion Waggon':D cant afford it at the moment tho:( also we might be moving to Canada sometime soon, so nows probably not the best time to get a car
A VW actually :) Trading in my 93 Mrk3 Golf 1.9 diesel for a 95 Mrk3 GTi 2.0 8v :p The old one has started grinding in 2nd gear, synchromesh wearing, so have decided to move it on before it costs me alot to fix. The GTi is in mint condition, only 1 owner and 63k miles on the clock. No mods or boy racer bodges on it either, very well looked after. Even though the diesel is slow as hell and only has 64bhp (Gti has 115bhp) I will miss it when it goes. Have had her for 4 years and it belonged to my parents before me, so has been in the family for a while (for over 8 of its 11yr existence). But the new one has loads of power over the diesel, and the added bonus of an electric sunroof and aircon which can be a rare combination. Not that I'll use it much but its handy to have for the few hot days we get here.
Old VW campervans are cool, would like to have one some day, restore one back to its original look and have it for summer trips. To be honest now doesn't look like the right time to own a car at all with the way fuel prices are rising. I'm lucky I don't drive to work so has minimal fuel costs.

yeah, im lucky in that im living close enough to both the campus's here that i dont need to even get a bus. fuel prices are getting rediculous. i can see more fuel protests coming up:rolleyes:
at the moment im just driving my folks renault scenic when im home (which isnt often at the moment). i think after 2 years of driving it, id kill for anything else!!

Car sounds good. :)
Well I nearly lost my watch for good last wk!! I'd put it in my pocket as I was dashing out the door to Cinema as I was late, told myself I'd put it on when I got there!! Forgot came home and OMG where is it?! Luckily it was still in the cinema wedged between the seats!! Phew! So now I hardly dare to wear it!! I even said to partner at the time that I should've kept it in a glass cabinet or something like yours!! :)
Had BBQ 2 wks ago I think now! Due for another soon me thinks!
Shadowdancer... Scenics aren't bad but practical. At our age we need something a bit more fun. Hence I've said goodbye to the sluggish diesel and gone for the GTi. True the new TDi's are amazing to drive but too expensive. So your family is moving to Canada... tired of Scotland? Remember when you move there you'll no longer be able to sing the "Blame Canada" song from South Park :D
MD... see told you!!! It must be kept safe and locked away from thieving hands! Actually mine hasn't entered the cabinet just yet. Keep meaning to photograph my collection now its complete. Lucky you found it though :) Same happened to my phone once, slipped out of my pocket and never noticed until I was outside.
Sanfam... you offering a Firstones BBQ then? I'd like a 12 ounce steak please marinated in spoo :p
RubberEagleWhat's a rubber eagle used for, anyway?

No, he'll still be able to sing that... might not be good for his health, but he'll still be able to sing ;)
ShadowDancerWhen I say, "Why aye, gadgie," in my heart I say, "Och aye, laddie."London, UK
hmm...not sure what they'd object to most: the song or the voice thats singing it:D
we're thinking about it at the moment, but it would be at least a year before we would be able to go:( but even so, for the amount i would drive, a car would just be too expensive to run.
have u ever driven a scenic Falcon1? they have one good thing going for them, their height. thats it! they're slow off the mark, wallow their way round corners, tilt like crazy going round said corners, and u feel like its gonna fly apart at the seams when u go above 75mph!
bearing in mind that mine is an older mode tho.
id love a 206. never driven one, but i think they look great. a golf like ur new one would be nice as well.:D

Yeah you did! Funny cos I did have a feeling a few days before that I was going to lose it. I guess you found your phone?!
As for Sanfam..........I can't believe it took 10yrs! ? :)
SD... They'd probably complain about both ;) Nope never driven a Scenic. My 'practical' comment was from the angle of someone wanting a car with room that gets you from a-b, with out being bothered about anything else. Not surprised they handle like a duck really. Not sure what that 4x4 pretend off-roader one is like (think its 4x4 anyway, has a raised suspension and extra bumper bits). Nah if you want a 'practical' car with space you need that Audi RS Quattro Estate which costs £70,000 and out performs a Porsche 911!! :D
206's look ok but they have lost the spirit of the old 205 Gti's. Sure they were a death trap and not well built, but boy were they fun. A friend of mine had one and it went like **** off a shovel but broke down alot. It was the 1.9 version.

I really should've known what gaelic footy was! I know football jerseys and the like are or can be quite expensive.
Did you have that BBQ? We had one last weekend. Still great weather now. :)

I just got the in-counter grill finally working now (It only took TEN FREAKING YEARS!), so grilled goodness is far more likely now.
