Thanks for pointing out the hole - security is a good thing.
SB: There's just as much chance of iTunes having an unknown security hole in it.

Also, the playlist manager is so utterly fantastic. Combined with the extended search plugin, the ability to search is beyond fantastic. Also, add Foo_looks into things, and you get a 100% customizable GUI.
Though, you don't get it for the GUI. The motivation behind it is quality and small overhead.
Though, yeah, Each to their own. I just happen to preach FooBar. :D

winamp 1, itunes 0
I try to build my playlist. Click and dragging my MP3 directory for some reason doesn't work, so I tell it to 'open folder'. It hums to itself, then crashes when it reaches a midi file.
winamp 2, itunes 0
When I finished manually selecting songs to avoid midis, I listened for a while, but couldn't hear any difference between winamp and itunes playback. I cranked up the 'sound enhancer', but it seems to be just basically an equalizer function - not all that impressive.
The seach function is nifty, but not useful - I prefer just hitting 'j'.
winamp 2, itunes 1 (barely)
I didn't test any of the streaming stuff, and I live in Canada, so I can't make use of their store, either. Thanks, but I'll stick with winamp.
Also, the visualizer? Just plain sissy. :)
EDIT: On further examination, you also can't jump within the song using the arrow keys. Uncool!
[B]no debating skills ?

Ok, then explain the why alot of people that use iTunes want to convert AAC to mp3 just so they can play their tunes on winamp or take them on the road? Explain why millions of users use WinAMP over anything else.
