Drink worms and you feel better!

Here's a different kind of wormer: http://www.newscientist.com/news/news.jsp?id=ns99994852

Mmm... delicious! What kind of flavors they might offer, I wonder... wormy taste, fishy taste, tastes like chicken? :D

Well, actually this isn't very surprising.
Same like with these spreading allergies.

There's many cases like this where "natural" methods can be more effective, very good example is healing wounds infected with resistant bacteries using maggots. (exactly using that fly's maggots which normally eat carrions if I'll remember right)

    Charming.

Of course. These 'old notions' have to come from somewhere.

    Maggots spread allergies?!

As for the worms, I hope you don't have to eat them live!!

Nope, I meant that one reason behind allergies which is in study is that "over-cleaning".
When immune system nothing to do at first, it overreacts when there's something for it.

I think the whole point is to do that actually.

There's a theory (I think a study or two might have proven it, not sure) that babies who are allowed to play outside and get dirty rather than constantly kept clean are healthier later in life, because this exposes their immune system to a variety of things and allows it to build up a good resistance.

I could actually believe that! I think sometimes all the anti-bacteria for instance that they put in so much cleaning stuff doesn't do anyone any good at all. I think this is one reason why allergies are becoming more frequent. Specially asthma. Though I'd say pollution too. We live in a chemical world.

And you're right by being exposed, your body does build resistance. Same goes for antibiotics they stop your bodys natural defences.

Now we know why Klingons eat them.
