From what I've observed in my days of hermit-hood, it all seems to be about finding the right person who shares the right interests. I imagine that, if you find the right person, an internet relationship could work out quite well. You just need to find someone who believes as you do, and work something out where both parties trust each other well enough to be happy.
It's like how a friend of mine back home is having so much trouble trying to find girls. He's always trying to go out of his normal lifestyle and try to get someone at a club, or at a party, or something. Problem is, those never last. What he's doing is forgetting the obvious, which is that his two best relationships ever have occured on two independent cruises, where he found people who shared his interests in travelling, and his more active lifestyle.
Anyway, if you're wondering if there was a point to this...there wasn't. I'm just thinking in type. But, it's interesting enough. :D

You may not think there was a point, but there was. :)
That is also very true. And I think the worst place to look is in clubs/pubs and partys. Then again even though my relationship has worked out I wouldn't exactly recommend looking for love on the net either! if it happens, it happens, thats different.
Honestly it really depends. I know couples who met at parties, pubs, circus, marching band and have lasted a really long time. Its all about your experiance, what you are looking for, etc.
But I shouldn't be talking, my longest relationship lasted 40 days... but I do have a date tonight *crosses fingers*

Oh yeah ppl do get relationships out of the places you mention but you also get alot of guys after one thing only. Been there done it, get hurt in the end. I unfortunately never met anyone nice from club/pub. Not to say there aren't any decent men though. But I think its far and few between, least where I live anyhow!
Plus lots of ppl are under the influence of drink which affects your judgement.

alright so lets say the sex is bad does that mean ya can't be friends?
Well...that really depends on the history of the relationship. Sometimes you just can't work around the fact that y'all used to be be more intimate.
