I also recommend the novelizations, as well, at least Thirdspace and In The Beginning. In The Beginning makes an excellent companion to the Legions of Fire books. There is literally a point where you can put down the last Legions of Fire book, read In The Beginning, and resume the Legions of Fire book without missing a beat.
• I might just have to try that, of course, there's also a point in which you could probably put down the book, watch the series, and pick the book up and resume. During the part when londo starts telling Vir his story since he begins with "I was there at the Dawn of the third age..." Which is the opening line in "The Gathering."
• David of MacDavid of Mac Elite Ranger Ca
I loved how he worked in Londo's narration. And since, at that point, Londo was talking about Babylon 5 as a whole, and not just The Gathering, I'm figuring that the "one man on a mission of destruction" wasn't Del Varner, but Morden.

Just like Londo's death, the context is everything.

JMS's wife??! Which ones are they?! I had no idea!

Joe's wife is Kathryn Drennan. She wrote To Dream in the City of Sorrows and the first season ep By Any Means Necessary. That's all she's done in B5, though.

It could still have been Del Varner. It was because of him that the Vorlons nearly destroyed the station right as it was being finished. The station itseft and therefor the "dream of peace" was never in that much danger of destruction except when the Shadows had it surrounded. But you're right. It could have just as easily been refering to Morden, especially as Londo himself was probably not aware of Mr. Varner. It could swing both ways.
• er...who's Del Varner? I cannot remember!
• Hes the guy who brought the changling net onto the station for the Minbari warrior in "The Gathering"
• HuntSmackerHuntSmacker Firstones Ambassador to Starcraftia
And in an uncanny fashion, those changeling nets weren't revisted until Legend of The Rangers ! :robot:
• BekennBekenn Sinclair's Duck
Well, also keep in mind that the line about "one man on a mission of destruction" was cut from the re-edit. I think it works better without that line.
