[B]Short Term Goals[/B]
Core Based:
Create lists of weapons, ships and thier uses, bases
Begin to draft tech tree that will work under the current build of allegiance
Mesh making and textures
Create a basic Earth Alliance faction
Playbalance
Add graphics for jump points and background art

Repeat for other factions


Code Based:
Determine ease of coding rotatable ship and base parts
Determine ease of adding ray weapons
Determine ease of adding newtonian physics
If not to hard, do it.


[b]Long Term Goals[/b]
Core Base:
Refine and expand factions and tech tree

Code Based:
Add turret functions
Add anything from the short term goals that have not been done
Add some form of cap ship jump ability
Add hyperspace

    Looks good. I was thinking, though, that we'd be better off starting with the Narn and Centauri, because 1) we're not prepared for rotating sections yet, and 2) they represent a set of natural enemies.

    You have a good point. my plan was to make one faction, play test it with itself, then add another, play test it with itself and faction A, and so on. I chose EA first because we have a modler who is willing to do EA ships, and my brother has been wanting to fly a hyperion for over 5 years now, and I kind of want to get it so he can :)

    I'm for either way.

    Good point. And we can put stuff like the Omega off until later.

    In any case, time to figure out how to import models.

    Draw up a tech tree for the EA; I'll work on the Centauri for now.

    Also, we need a central repository for this stuff. Do you want to handle that, or shall I? I have access to some web space we can use, but since it's not technically mine, I feel I'm obligated to keep certain information -- like, say, the user name and password -- confidential. Therefore, were I to take care of this, only I would be able to update it.

    I'll get a hold of sanfam for the webspace. Would it be best to have one general tech tree, with a couple of race specific techs in there? There are only so many slots in the core file for stuff, and I want to make sure we don't run out of room.

    Well, I know that TRZ is working on designing a new layout for the tech tree. I haven't checked the Allegiance forums lately, though; anything new in that regard?
