Well it did finally snow fairly near to where I live, so I drove to the Moors for the best snow. It was such great open landscape that I could almost imagine I was at the Arctic. :)

The sunset pictures are my favourite, especially the final one. The colours are great.

Then you'll like these:
(well this first isn't exactly sunset)

This is what it looks outside when there snow and sun shines:

This one is newer:

Shows nicely brightness difference between inside and outside.
http://koti.mbnet.fi/~tuunaes/kuvat/PICT2683.jpg
This one was taken with ISO100, F8 and 1/1000
If you have digicam, put these settings to it and watch how dark pictures you'll get. (BTW, digicam without manual settings is piece of crap IMO)
http://koti.mbnet.fi/~tuunaes/kuvat/PICT2643.jpg
Sound is very nice when snow falling from roof hits hard surface. If it falls over five meters it makes very loud thud, which is nice especially at nights when you wake up to loud thuds.
Biggest one I've seen falling (well, heard it) was about 3 m wide, 1½ meters long and half meter thick. It halfly blocked visibility from this window http://koti.mbnet.fi/~tuunaes/kuvat/PICT2674.jpg when it was still hanging from eaves.
I was at the other end of house but sound was still very loud, even when it falled to soft surface and only from height of two meters.

ET great pics! Its funny cos there was windpower things not far from where I was abit lower down where the snow had already melted or never reached!
Have to say I love those 2 with the trees completely covered. Looks like a real winter wonderland type of fantasy. Specially that first close up pic of the trees. Something I've never really seen here not like that. Beautiful. :)
BTW that a piano?.....can you play?

SD, nope its Bodmin Moor in Cornwall. About 50miles away from where I am. in Devon. :)
Well I live in the middle of a city so you'll have to put up with other buildings in my sunrise photos. I also lack a tripod, so the dark ones are a tad blurry from the longer exposure.
Great pics Biggles! Reminds me a little of the view from parents house. Think its that other white building :)
I still like my "Sunrise at 11000m" photos best though.
Did you miss the jet engine in the lower left? ;) Those pics were taken 11000m high just off the east coast of Queensland, Australia on the way back from Taiwan (fun fact: the engine in that picture was malfunctioning slightly the entire flight). I was lucky enough to get a window seat on the side of the plane the sun was rising on.

Well to be honest thats the first thing I DID think it was lol!! But it didn't really look like you were looking out a window! So clean!! I take pics and the dirt shows up! I was thinking about Altitude problems as well LMAO! And I couldn't remember how high you could climb before suffering! hehe. This is real funny to me now
Some more pics if you're not bored by now. From my parents house a nice sky. :)

And about piano, no.
It's my sisters. (who rarely remember its existence)
Not so nice I imagine if it hits and falls on your head! ;)
You can bet on that!
Well, there's also difference in it does it fall from sieves or from roof.
If it falls from sieves amount of it is smaller. (from one kg to under 100kgs)
When it stars falling from roof it can cause "chain reaction" which takes down all snow from that side of roof and weight of snow in roof can rise up to 200kgs per square meter in springs.
So in that case you "receive" lot of it!
Last winter two died when snow and iceblocks falled from sieves of buildings.
Oh yeah and what happened to the swings? Did you break them?
No it's just taken under roof for winter time.
There were taken from my bedroom window.

Ok ok, it isnt my house, it was taken in Wells a few days ago, though I don't live there, I live near Bath and Bristol.
Worf
I've been to Bristol and Bath. Bath is very picturesque.
Hey thanks for the pics guys! :) ET are they recent pics? And have you ever been hit by falling snow?
That number tells order where they have been taken. (digicam uses consecutive numbering)
Only times are when I've been dropping snow from eaves over front door.
Not that snow dropping from it would be dangerous, it would drop only half meter but it doesn't feel nice when you go to outside and just when you close door you get snow inside clothes through collar. :p
So actually it would be no, and I'll try to keep it that way.
(lets just say that my instict to protect myself works)
I did see the name Wells and thought that was familiar! But there could've been a Wells in America for all I know. Isn't Wells in Wiltshire? :)

Wells is in Somerset, near Glastonbury. The village I live in is the same one they used to film the scenes where Willow and Giles are in the UK.

These sunsets are pretty common in this time of year.
(You'll just have to watch for right moment because it can be over in five minutes)
nothing like 11*C weather:)
