No, it will be because I've just ended a war by, with my flaming sword, severing the heads of all of my enemy's leaders and then bathing in their blood (leaders include generals, members of parliament, representatives, etc.) The lamentations of their wives and children will be so intense, my body will painlessly cease to be, and my soul will very publically ascend into heaven, still brandishing my flaming sword. Before entering the pearly gates, my sword will cause fire and brimstone to rain upon all enemy soldiers, allowing for my allies to easily conquer and occupy our very defeated foe.
Remind me not to visit France any time soon.
Or, really, any time at all.
Come to think of it, I don't even want to go there. Never mind.

Or... by contracting AIDS from that whole bathing thing. :)
I don't really care how I go... I'm not exactly going to care afterward.
Thats a horrible in general way to go, because think of the mental trauma it would inflict on your partner damnit! thats gonna take alot of therapy to deal with!

My Nan (Grandmother) died that way with my Grandad sleeping next to her. You're right, it's a shatteringly traumatic experience.

While that certainly is traumatic, I'm pretty sure that's not the one Tyvar was referring to...
I would rather be awake and concious when I die. I think it would be very troubling to go to sleep and then basicly pass on to the next world(if you believe in that), maybe you would think it was a dream or something.

I...did not know that was possible...

I didn't know whether it was possible or not either! Besides I wasn't exactly serious when I said it but hey both me and my partner have said it would be a nice way to go. Its just a statement and nothing more. We don't go into depth about it :)
And I do know what its like to see someone whose died in their sleep. My Great Aunt did when we went to see her in Hosp. It was an awful shock for my Uncle was with us and for him to see her like that was beyond words. But the worst was the way the staff there like the nurses to have just left her like that and she was not a pretty sight neither. It looked like she'd died traumatically in her sleep. They hadn't even bothered covering her up or nothing and she wasn't in a room all to herself!! :( @ staff.
Anyway I said I'd rather die in my sleep because at the end of the day even after that experience I still see it as hopefully the most peaceful for me personally. I think its equally traumatic for a partner to be suffering yrs in agony and watching them slowly die.

indeed.
Incidentally, speaking about crucifying.. I'd love to do that. It'd be interesting to see how different people would behave during it. Examine the results. and just have fun.
I used to dream about being crucified at one time. Once into a brickwall even. Those were fun.

< Tempest > Has anyone seen Passion of the Christ?
< Yuki > I heard the guy playing Jesus was struck by lighting twice while working on the set.
< Mister Mittens > I've heard that as well... And I think someone else on the set was hit by lightning as well... not sure
< Quinton > GOOD MOVIE
< Teal > They weren't hit by lightning. They were smote. There's a difference.
Yeah I know it is. But I have to say I don't think dying in your sleep is a crude thought. My story however is crude, that is true. :) I guess I said about my Aunt because despite all that as I said before I still prefer to go that way. I suppose I was trying to make a point though it may have been the wrong story to tell but the right one to me at that moment in time.
Anyway this is depressing Morden was right. :)
Then again I'll blame him for my story cos the brief installement of his Gran reminded me! :p
