    You lucky guy!
I'm starting to awake 7:30. and if it's not sun that wakes, then birds will take care of that problem.

    Yes, lucky me then. :)

Now I'll have to tape that curtain to window's frame.

And those birds singing outside room's window, there should be way to adjust their clocks few hours backward. [/B][/QUOTE]

Try throwing a blanket over the pelmet/railing or whatever you have. This is a good sun blocker. Either that or buy blinds. :)

Think the birds start around 6am here! Then there's the seagulls, they start not llong after that.

Those damn bastards, they do it on purpose. Now I'm sure about it.

Today they started even earlier than yesterday and waked me before seven. And of course they have stopped singin when you would normally wake up.

I always wake around 10 am to 11 am. I trust my inner clockworkings... :)

I'm blessed with a great internal clock (Thanks to Moms side of the family).

I can look at the clock, and make a mental note of what time I want to get up, and I will wake up within 5 minutes of said time 99% of the time. (Unless I'm REALLY sleep deprived, or got sick overnight kinda thing)

When I was in military service I was able to little same kind of thing.
After about ten days I was able to wake up myself few minutes before 6 am so I wasn't so asleep after wake up was shouted in corridor.

Wish i could do that, perhaps I could with a bit of training. :)

I've never been able to trust my internal clock. It's always wrong. No matter what I do, I can barely make alarms, ever. My schedule is almost that of a 26-28 hour cycle, and it just throws everything off. Though, I've discovered recently that I almost always wake up to my cell phone's ring. No matter where it is, I can find it and shut it off as quickly (if not faster) than my alarm. I've honestly been thinking the only way to get me out of bed is to have an alarm system that is shut off entering a number displayed on a screen on one side of the room on a keypad on the other side. I've already been able to open the *bottom* of my alarm and hide the battery without waking, (which even requires a screw to be removed). I'm just that good ;)

Not quite the same, but I can tell myself after I wake that I want to wake in another 15 minutes and I do...

That's easy to do, although in my case it comes more from training.
  • My clock makes an incredibly loud beeping noise that sounds like a cross between an air raid siren and a fire alarm, so I don't have to bother with any of that crap. :)

Why not a system which dumbs bucket of water?

(little ice cubes to water and I think it would wake you up very fast)

I used to be able to do that, but after I started only to sleep 4 hours per night it didn't work anymore. :/

What my unconcious mind does in self defense is utterly fascinating when it comes to things like that. As with the previously mentioned alarm clock disassembly, I've also managed to crush smaller clocks, and damage furniture. Don't mess with me when I'm asleep ;)

I can never wake to my phone. The alarm on mine doesn't last very long and so I don't have to physically turn it off!

I can't stand alarms...in fact, this seems to extend into a field of anti-alarmness around me. Every watch I get, the beeper goes within a month. Every. Watch.

So I my clock alarm to turn on the radio really really really quiet. Usually I wake up on the *click* before the voice starts.

Then there's my roommate's alarm...BEEP BEEP, BEEP BEEP, BEEP BEEP. I've started sleeping through it ;)

I got a old fashion clock where the alarm says *RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG*

The odd thing with my alarm is that I tend to wake up a second before it goes off, just in time to hit the switch the moment it goes off. It's weird. Maybe it's making some noise just before it turns on the alarm or something. :)

Hehe, I do stuff like that sometimes. If I set it for, say, 5:00, and wait up at 4:59.

Sometimes I do the opposit. I wake up and wonder when the alarm will ring and then I look at the clock and see that it rang an hour ago. :)
