    All of a sudden I have all kinds of people giving me rocks...

    It's the new currency. Rare and bizzare geological artifacts...

    I really would like to build up a collection of volcanic stuff from all over the world.

    So far I have:

    Aa and Pahoehoe from Hawaii.
    Ash, Cinder, Pumice, Lava, Obsidian, from nearby Long Valley (Mammoth) Caldera.
    Tektite from Nepal (although not volcanic it is the oldest thing in my collection ~4.5 Billion years old, direct from space)

    Soon to get:
    Ash from an Alaskan Volcano
    Volcanic stuff from New Zealand ( [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/wink.gif[/img] )

    Hope to get:
    Something from Crater Lake.
    Something (like Ash) from Mt. St. Helens.
    Something from Mt. Rainier.
    Something from Mt. Hood.
    Something from Mt. Shasta
    Something from Mt. Lassen

    Dream of getting something from:
    Mt. Fuji (Japan)
    Lava from an underwater volcano.
    And any other exotic location or geological feature around the world.
