The suckiest thing that ever sucked

Entil'ZhaEntil'Zha I see famous people
i would like to start a discussion of the suckiest thing that ever sucked. and that would be.... Moving

I hate moving, I mean, You may think that Garibaldi Hated Bester, but no, that's NOTHING compared to how much I hate moving.

And now, here i am, getting ready to not only move 500 Miles, but move into a temporary apartment so that sometime over the next 12 months, i'll have to move AGAIN.

UGH, i hate it.

well we don't have a huge choice, right now we live in New York, and are renting an apartment from my parents, They are only charging us $500/month for an apartment that SHOULD be goign for at least $1800 a month, its Huge, but they are selling the house, and we can't afford to pay actual NYC rent, Plus i'm kinda sick of the city.

So we're moving back to Maine, but man the moving process sucks.
  • Ahh...away from the city! rock on! :D

The process of moving does suck.
The moving itself varies, depending on whether or not you like where you are and whether or not you like where you are going.
  • Moving while you're still in school sucks, especially in high school. Moving out of your parents' house isn't quite so bad. :)

Not that I would know about the second :p

You really don't realize how much stuff you own until you move it all...

My wife and I moved from a small three-bedroom duplex into a much larger house. I was amazed by how much stuff we had then and that was 3 years ago. I'd hate to think how much stuff we'd have to move now...

I figured as much, I meant moving away from one's parents when one achieves financial independance. :)

I actually like moving a *lot* You find a lot of your old stuff. Get to redecorate an entirely new apartment. Throw out stuff you havent been using for years. Fun fun fun :) :D

obviously some new use of the word fun that i wasnt previously aware of!:p
  • if you ever run into some guy named Donald Keddie in dundee, let me know. We've been hunting for him for 2 years, he just kind of disappeared. We ww2ol players worry when people suddenly disappear.

Being in a chain and that collapsing must be the worst case in the moving scenario. I not experienced that yet. But its hard here in the UK, I don't know what its like in other countys or countries but its hard to get on the ladder for a house cos of the crazy prices! I got a flat just now. And alot more ppl are living at home with their parents cos of house prices etc.. Its not a good time unless you're already on the ladder.

Moving is supposed to be one of the most stressful things you can do in your life.

it can be a cleansing and purging kinda ritual tho... you look through all your shit and say, "do I really really need this ?"

and you only take forward the stuff that matters...

    exfoliation for the soul..:)

    And what's amusing about that...
is that I often do end up needing "it" again.

Whatever "it" may be, "it" always is very important once I get rid of it.

    Yep, that works for everything.

If you retain it, you propably don't need it.
But throw it away and you'll propably need it, maybe even few weeks later!

You don't know how many times i've thrown something out saying "if i havn't needed it by now, i won't" and then not 2 days after i toss it, i need it.

I know mate, it's a blantly exagerrated cultural stereotype. :D

Hmm, I heard once that Bristol is best for breasts, (ooh, rhyme and alliteration!) but I can't recall where... Bristol University is chock-a-block for top tottie though, and I can't wait to go there from October. :)

Cool, I might give Scotland a go for a holiday, then! :)

Well I've got unconditional offers for both History and Sociology, but History from Bristol is up there with degrees from Oxford and Cambridge in status terms. I prefer history, anyway, so I'll probably go with that. :)
