  between 1.5 and 2.1 in 3 tests, but I know when I download large files from fast servers the download speed goes up to 3 mbps. and even higher sometimes.
  
  However, my ISP limits bandwidth usage to 30GBs/month for downloads and I think 7.5GBs for uploads.
  
  So fast, but not much I can do with it (or will have the account suspended)
  
  I have cable, would switch to ADSL in a second if it was available in my area.

  I would not trade my Cable Service for anything.....I guess it helps to be in Charter's home market area and always the first in the nation to get their upgrades or new tech......I have had Cable for 4 years now.....:D

  I am the only town in my state to use Cox instead of Charter... Cox has only one speed (fast), whereas Charter's baseline is 700k or so, and goes up from there. And because Cox is trying to bust into MA, they're pumping us full of bandwidth until we burst. :)
