Too bad for you ;)
Those guys who cleared the snow from the parking lot left me a bit of a suprise. Had to work for quite long after I got my car moving (Actually when I write this I am supposed to be at school, but my car just stopped few hundred meters from here, so I came back home)

There's a sidewalk somewhere there , under the snow.

Alright Vert you convinced me, Tennesee is a unique place...I've never seen a sunset like that first picture. To see that in person... I'd sit on the side of that horizontal telephone pole :D

The other two are pretty too, I like the way the light glows through the clouds. :)

Looks like I'm going to have to get in on this. Hope it's fine tomorrow.
• bah, hang on whilest I get numerous other sunset pics. Your first one is nice vert, but I have seen much, much neater ones...

brillient oranges, yellows, greens (Yes GREEN) and purple with pink all at the same time. and they are not uncommon. During the winter, we have some amazing sunsets that last over an hour and constantly change...

this one just kinda looked cool, taken while driving:

http://www.b5-blender.com/temp/sun/DSC00104.JPG

example of deep orange. impossible to catch the actual color with a camera...

This isn't sunset, it's sunrise:
http://koti.mbnet.fi/tuunaes/Images/PICT2442.jpg
(there's also one halo in this pic)

From those others I think this is one of the best.
http://koti.mbnet.fi/tuunaes/Images/setting sun4.jpg

Especially late-winter here's much of these beautiful sunsets in Finland.
Late-winter is also best time of year for observing halos.
