    It still sad there won't be Freespace 3.
    At least from Volition. (I wonder what kind of graphics they could make now)

    Luckly there is a very alive and well fan base bringing Freespace 2 into the 21st century. If you haven't tried the SCP (Source Code Project) it really is an improvement! With much improved graphics, with many new hi-poly models... support for lots of MODs... it really is like having a sequel already out.

    [I]Some[/I] people are speculating that this is a "test the waters" release by Interplay but no one knows for sure but regardless it is a good thing to see that Interplay has not forgotten that this game has an audience!

    I doubt this could be a "test the waters" release, because it wouldn't given any indication of the possible sales for a new game. Too many people already have working copies of FS2.

    Gee....intelligent decision there Interplay. Charge $50 + shipping ($4.99) for a game that is [b]years old[/b]....when new ones can be had in [b]retail[/b] for $39.99......... :rolleyes:

    Hell, you can give the game away for free legally so why bother?

    [b]edit:[/b] Looking at it, its no different than the original version that was released. You don't even get any of the mild extras included in the "Sim of the Year" edition! Talk about a rip-off!
