*Waits for high speed for the big pic*
There was a cool 360 revolving shot, think it was on the bbc web but I can't find it now. Does anyone here have the link at all. Thought I'd saved it.

As for MartianDust's question, take a look at Biggles' links. There is a spectactular 180 degree 3d (red-blue) image. There is a 90 degree full color panarama. They have taken the entire 360 degree of pictures, but only 90 degrees has been downloaded and released (I am sure more has been downloaded today, but they didn't release it yet).
to bad there isn't more green on mars...so depressing being all red...
Still not found that one though. It was one where you put your cursor on it and it moves, plus there was a zoom thing where you could zoom in at the rocks while moving. It wasn't animated but real photos which I guess they put together to make one image - a complete circle. From start to start again. 360 degrees. :)
I would've thought bbc would've kept it somewhere on their site.
Perhaps I'll email.
Random Chaos will check your link tomorrow.

:)
What I'd do? :D :) ;)
Which is something I have wanted to find of Mars once they get their final 360 degree view done :)
If landing site has been found then they can at least tell did beagle 2 manage to land but isn't able to transmit information of it.
(those "air-bags" used in landing are big enough that they would show in hi-res images)
Sounds to me like a java applet that took the hires panorama shot, scaled it down to fit part of it in your window, and let you scroll around it (with zooming done by unresizing the image back to hires).
I really don't remember which it was. Probably java. Prolly won't help but I might email BBC on their website cos I really can't believe its not there somewhere or why they'd scrap it so soon. Was only a wk ago I think. Just wish I'd saved it. Maybe it did save automatic?! If so where would my PC put it? Am terrible at this kind of stuff lol. :)
