Good or bad?
I was LMAO at the Amercian Pop Idol. I only normally watch the auditions then give up once they have the potentials. Then I ended up watching Celeb fit club which I got into cos Freddie Star was in it and he had me in stitches this wk with his 'Wind prob'
Anyway just curious to know if anyone else watches these types of progs? The last great one here was Shattered where the contestants had to stay awake a wk. Though they did give them a couple hours kip each day. :)

Only because Rupert needs a second shot, and a fan base! ;)

Nobody wants to see reality on TV.
Reality TV, YUK!!!
Yeah!
And "soap" series are still on their own class even when compared to these.
"Lets get just enough money together for a prize and then torture a bunch of people in front of a camera."
the whole bachelor bullshit... all the stupid 'challenges' etc... all bona fide crud
I'm proud of the fact that I've only ever caught snippets of 'Big Brother' etc whilst trying to watch something else...

only reality TV worth watching is Candid Camera and Trigger Happy TV. :)
I haven't watched anything on TV for a few months now (only watch DVDs and the newest episodes of my favourite TV-shows from the net ;) )
The only one i found worth watching was that one about the SAS, where they took something like 20 or so of the fittest civilains in the UK and put them through SAS jungle training. That was class, but only cos it was about the SAS and how they do stuff

Ahh, that was "SAS: Are You Tough Enough?". It kind of puts things in perspective when the initiation training the civvies went through was under half that the actual potential SAS recruits have to endure.
Belters Decides:
The Great Wall of Belters?
The Issue
Due to the ongoing wars in neighboring countries, a recent rash of illegal immigrants have been caught at the borders of Belters, prompting many citizens to call for tighter immigration laws.
The Debate
1. Zeke Jefferson of the Belters National Purity League says "These illegal aliens are just an eyesore with their strange customs and funny languages. Uneducated immigrants like these only worsen crime and steal valuable jobs! I say we should boot them all out on their ears and put a big fence around the country!"
2. Jazz Broadside of the Belters Civil Liberties Union says "We must welcome these refugees from any nation into our open arms, they are fleeing one oppressive dictatorial regime in the only way they know, we must not let them think they're jumping from the frying pan into the fire!"
3. "Hold on there, hold on people!" says Violet Hendrikson of the Belters Broadcasting company, "We don't have to take either extreme, all we have to do is make a TV game show out of it! We put deadly obstacles on the border and monitor it with television cameras! Those that make it across win freedom and citizenship, and those who don't, well, lets just say that our buzzards won't starve. We could call it 'Who Wants to be an Immigrant?'!"

The Problem we have here (German speaking part of europe) is, that the TV-stations don't invest in any "real" entertainment anymore, but just make cheap reality stuff...

I agree there, that tv stations are getting away with making cheap stuff like reality soaps. But take the Shattered prog for instance being sleep deprived all wk I really think its doubtful that the contestants acted to the cameras, would just be impossible! And this was one of my faves because they were very normal ppl taking about issues that I could and alot of ppl could relate to.
I never liked Big Brother much because that is alot of acting to cameras which I agree is false. And like Jade (loud mouth)who I could not stand! Ugh!
But I don't mind Survival programmes where they do actually do stuff and conquer fears. Another one I like is Fear Factor. Now don't tell me you all hate this? ;) There are some cool stunts in this one, and I love it when they have to eat very putrid things, I just have to laugh at their faces!
I've never actually seen Trigger Happy which you could class Reality. No reason, just missed out on it. :)
