Getting back to the B5 DVD...
Stopped by Best Buy this evening.
They had about ten copies in the DVD - SciFi section. But...
If I hadn't looked hard at the alphabetical organisation, I would have missed them because they were all turned on their sides.
Luckily... Babylon 5 is a string of text that is HARD to miss!

Was the video transfer as bad as that review seemed to be saying? That and the fact the audio is only Dolby 2.0 makes my wary of buying the DVD.
Mine shipped today. Unfortunately, the shipment was being held back by an MST3K DVD. :/

Getting back to the B5 DVD and your questions, "The gathering was obviously poorer quality than In the Beginning..." both in sound and video.
Everyone has to remember how old the pilot was and the quality it was made in during it's time. TNT did a great job, but look what they had to work with.
Now, In the beginning just kicks ass. I'm sorry, that's just the way it is.

That review seemed to say the transfer didn't exactly go well. 2-channel sound also seems to be a waste, too *shrug*

Now see, I still haven't gotten out to get the DVD, i figure if i order it, it won't get here till monday (i'm NOT paying 10 bucks for overnight shipping on a $14 DVD) so i'm going to go out tomorow and pick it up, i'm DYING to see it. but i know its just goign to make me want them ALL on DVD. i watched on SCI-FI last night Inteludes and Examinations. and now i want to sit down and watch the whole seires again, and of course i've only got it on VHS.
I forgot how good season 3/4 were. This episode was great, if not depressing.
