Quantium 40

I've got a Question about Quantium 40.
I know it's essencial for building Jumpgates, but is it also used for Jumpdrives? And if yes, is it used as Fuel?
(so if i don't get enough Quantium 40, i can't jump anymore?)

    Quantium 40 is a highly reactive substance, but I don't think it's used as fuel. It is required to form a jump point, though, so yes, it is used in jump engines.

    I would say yes once your supply is getting low its time for "refueling" unless your are a firstone and just tap into hyperspace for unlimited energy....

    I think that a jump engine is a solid state engine, the only fuel it needs is energy.

    If it is needed for jump gates it would be needed for jump engines, because they perform the same function. I don't think it's used as fuel though. More like the dilythium crystals in Star Trek, which are used to control the rate of matter/antimatter reaction, except in this case it is used to focus energy.
