Lord RefaLord Refa Creepy, but in a good way
I'm keeping mine quite down, at the moment.. It's just that seeing the upgraded version for it for sale for under 20 euros.. It doesn't sound that bad.. And I am a fan of the game series. (and the movie was good! Honest!). But.. Are there more games on NGC that are worth playing/getting it? Roleplaying? Adventure?

I dont really like those generic jump jump boing boing games that are usual on nintendo, and I can't play Metroid (I think I can't, it's 3d fps, and I can't play those, so I don't think I could play it ).

Mario Sunshine is outstanding of course.

Rogue Leader and Rebel Strike rock hard.

Prince of Persia is of course one of the best games ever.

I like when games and movies do that. But I fucking hate it when people do that. Makes me want to .. well... Let's leave it at that. ;)

And Eternal Darkness has looked promising ever since I read about it from Pelit.

Gamecube, for being not vaunted for its graphical prowess,
is a very good system. My friend got it cause it was a steal
off of eBay... and the sheer fun factor of the games is
amazing. Nintendo became famous for making "fun" games
and I think its good to see a system people thought would
never make it put out a long string of good games, heck games
that will never be seen on xbox or ps2 but are more fun than
most games on the bigger consoles. I just may pick one up
after the christmas season when I have money again... :p
• And best of all, when you realize that half the good games are also available on PS2/Xbox, you have a good, sturdy lunchbox!

GC is a good system with great games. I don't think I have to say any more than that.

Why only play half the good games?

The problem with that statement is your assumption that all good games come out on GC. :)
• BigglesBiggles <font color=#AAFFAA>The Man Without a Face</font>
Sounds like you're assuming that any good game that comes out either will be on the GC and something else, or not on the GC. :)

I think I'll have to post pone my acquisition of the Cube.

I mean.. I still have some games to finish on GBA.

Lunar Legend (playing that atm. about 20 hours gone)
Ecks vs Sever
Final Fantasy Tactics
Broken Sword : Shadow of the Templars (played it on PC, but got it out of curiosity)
Warioland 4
Breath of Fire
Super Street Fighter 2
Kurukuru kururin
Advance Wars 2
Metroid Fusion
Speedball 2

And there's other games I got but selling.

Tony Hawk 2
Mariokart Super circuit
Crash Bandicoot XS
International superstar soccer
Gt championship
v-rally 3.

Testing some.. And found Mariokart (hey, I played it on SNES), crash, iss and one of the car games pretty enjoyable. Tony Hawk was just boring.

I hope that Golden Sun isn't on that list because you've already finished it. It's easily one of the best games on the GBA, and one of the best games I've played on any platform in recent years.
• Lord RefaLord Refa Creepy, but in a good way
I got the GBA and games 7 days ago.. So nope. Haven't finished it yet. Haven't even started yet.

My gameboy SP is the best thing ive bought in 2 years outside of my powerbook.

also a great great game for it is Advance Wars 2. I fuckin love it to death!
• BigglesBiggles <font color=#AAFFAA>The Man Without a Face</font>
My gameboy is the best thing I've bought in quite a while too. It's very useful for long plane flights.
• RubberEagleRubberEagle What's a rubber eagle used for, anyway?
Having now an Xbox in addition to my gamecube, i can only say, the gamecube kicks the XBOX graphics in the ass big time...

A great 'Cube game that hasn't been mentioned here is Metroid Prime :)

My Nokia 3300 is the best thing I've bought in a long time. Really usefull for long buss rides(I do not travell by plane or train much). MP3 if I want to listen to good music and Java games if I want to play games. I can also stay in contact with people by calling them or sms them. To bad my phone don't have a off-line state as N-gage have, so I can't use mine in airplanes. :(

God damn, I love that game!

How far along are you, Rogue? I'm on the second to last mission in Green Earth.

Cube has better craphics than Box? But.. shouldn't that be not right? I mean.. Isn't X-box supposed to be heavier in the machine department?

anyway. I don't really have any use for my cellphone. It's that chatting one, with the real keyboard. It was usefull about two years, year and half ago. But now the only thing I use on it is pretty much the mp3 player. Which has too small memory..
• RubberEagleRubberEagle What's a rubber eagle used for, anyway?
The xbox is heavier... i mean, it fealt like 50 kg when i carried it home...

no, you have to realize, that the gamecube hardware is not PC hardware, so the fact that the processor does run at a lower frequency doesn't mean it's less powerfull (think amd-intel), also, the ATI graphics chip is far more powerfull than the nVidia one in the x-box, and the Cube has faster RAM as far as i know. (also, the XBOX has the big bottleneck of last generation (P3, Pre-XP athlons)PCs, the small data busses)
The fact that everyone thinks that the Xbox has superior hardware is really just a brilliant marketing trick.

Res Evil remake did look pretty cool... better than what I've seen on X-box...

Exactly, and the fact that I am a PS2 fanboy means that GC loses. :)

The thing about PS2 is that it is the best-selling console, ergo it gets the most games. We get a lot more crap games, but we also get more good games.

And yes, I have played on both an Xbox and a GC extensively.

Just a matter of opinion. :)

And Silent Hill games are originally/mainly for Playstation consoles...

Which gives it a high status in my books. Considering that they are the BEST in survival horror. They manage to be sort of scary at times. And have kick ass musics and stories to boot.

Love 'em..

Never played very much of them (maybe 1/5th of the second), but they were probably the closest a game has ever come to being scary (until, hopefully Doom III ;)), so yeah.

I find mobile phone games to be a tad restrictive and uninvolving, even the java ones. the GBA has the huge advantage of actually being a game platform.

Agreed, and even with the GBA, I'm not incredibly impressed. Then again, they're bound to release the GBA Super-Duper Extra Special (v2), so there's still hope...

I like the Java games I have for my nokia phone. I got a friend who works in a company that makes Java games, and sometimes he make games on his own so I get to test his games. :)
Although, I don't play much on my phone and I don't really need a GBA. If the GBA had a MP3 player and perhaps a cellphone in it I would buy it. :)

Hopefully it will have everything I need in it and won't be to expensive.

err... then why do all the multi-platform titles generally run/look better on the Xbox?

Meh, console fanboy arguements are useless, besides, other than library size, PS2 gets shafted in every category ;P

bigger library = bigger selection of good games. And the graphics are not that bad... honestly. How shallow are you people? :p
