    How about a sort of Slashdot-type news submitting system for the front page? Rumors, news, interviews and all that. Commenting on the news can then be done in the forums.

    Seriously though... I dunno. I pretty much just visit the forums as of late... to get here I type in forums.f, press down, and enter, and the page magically loads.

    I also like very much the idea of a slashdot style news submitting thing. Our scriptkiddie can code it up for us! :D All we'd need would be a couple of editors to make sure bad stuff doesn't get posted.

    Looks good. Does it have the ability to moderate news posts? It'd also be good to be able to link a news post to a thread on the forum and get the comment count from that rather than have a separate comments system for news posts.

    One idea for money purposes is a pay for membership. Custom avatars A(and other such things) and such for like $5 a month (or whatever). Something cheep for us poor folk, but something that will help you guys out money wise.

    I think we're the only forum on the internet with < 20 smilies. A good thing, but I can think of a smiley or two that would be useful on occassion...

    Yeah, we have enough members that an optional $5/month would help a lot, methinks. Not everyone would pay, obviously, but every bit counts... :)

    if there was a true decent incentive to this then maybe it would attrach more donations. and whatever you donate you get it, so those with little money can donate what we can and were not left out because we cant afford the IGN rates or something.

    I think a full blown news site might be a way to go. I love reading about jms news stuff here but were pretty much all fanboys so we can start collecting the news and posting it here. I think thats legal as long as we cite the source no?

    Also give Rogue Moderator status, i think that might help out a bunch :D

    I'm not sure what you're suggesting here. You're not proposing a pay-secon of adult photos, are you? I'm not familiar with the Maxim article you're talking about.

    *EDIT* - I found the Maxim article, but I'm not sure how you could alter that to fit B5. I don't think there's really enough material out there that's related to B5 in that way.

    Well, I find little to improve...it's nice having things constant sometimes, like a home port, if you will.

    However, I do have one suggestion...browsing from this 3.75" screen made me think that the main forums page needs a subtitle...
