I'm sorry mate, but I find that VERY hard to believe. I've seen the 7.62 Halashnikov's face up to the M16 in ballistic trials, and they're [b]no way[/b] as accurate. The only explanation was the the Finnish soldiers were expert Marksmen, and the Americans regular grunts.
I've never heard of a Halashnikov :D and I've never yet used a RK rifle nor a m-16. So me commenting on which one is better won't happen. Still RK rocks! :p

Just in case I misjudged your opinion, M16's lighter bullet is more vulnerable to wind than RK's, so that might make the difference between those two if conditions are windy... and different rifling could also have an effect on accuracy.
The ironic thing about the whole messup of the SA-80 is that this had not been the first time a bullpup configuration assault rifle had been tried by the UK. In fact, the EM-2 Assault Rifle had started development in the late 40's but due to the NATO standardisation utilising the 7.62 x 51 cartridge, the project was shelved.

Uhmm I love My M14, but I hate to say it, a tuned AR against my tuned M14 is gonna kick ass out to 400 meters or so.. accuracy wise Im afraid, After that though my M14 is gonna dominate! ;)
