Shrek 2 preview...

Well, I LOVED Shrek, but was kinda upset that they were making Shrek 2. Afterall, how many sequals live up to the origenal?

well, I laughed pretty hard while watching the preview, so maybe there is hope!

and lets face it Eddy Murphy really really really needs a vehicle right now...

he hasnt done anything worthy of the name 'film' in a long time

:D
• Didn't bother watching it. Shrek is the only decent animated film I have seen since I was young enough to like any movie, just because it was flashy and blinky, and this is just another moneymaker... like all of Disney's new sequels. Make something original, and I'll watch it.

I'm sorry, but why judge it if you have not seen it?

It has a whole ton of promise, and Dreamworks (not disney, although Disney's ties to Pixar have and will continue to produce some of the most entertaining movies out there. Toy story, while it looks like a children's movie, is classic. Monster's Inc was great, a Bug's Life just fantastic) has a good deal of experience under its belt. Having pulled off Antz and Shrek *very* well (Antz was not much of an audience winner, but it is still great stuff), I see no reason they should suddenly lose their talents and go bad.

Shrek still holds a place as one of my favorite movies in recent years. It's witty, it's funny, and it's got an interesting plot and some great music.

Er... this isn't a Disney movie. If anything, it's ripping off Disney. Just like the first one.
• hey, just because so few other companies can make a good sequal doesn't mean none can, at least watch the trailer befor judging it!
• I know it's not a Disney movie, and note how I said the only "decent" animated film I'd seen in a while. IMO, It wasn't particularly good, thought it was somewhat entertaining. But... yeah.
• I loved Shrek, and I'm a huge Eddie Murphy fan despite his recent film failings. This is the first I've heard of a sequel, so I'm quite looking forward to it. :)

Last really good Eddie Murphy movie I've seen was Bowfinger. And especially the not-so-perfect guy he played.. Can't remember the name, but those glasses, those teeth. You'll know who I'm talking of.

I guess I sort of felt slight pity for him, the character. It was odd really. But still, a damn good movie all in all.

Killing PG allowed me to nab it. DW booted me off a couple of times. Thank goodness for DAP (although Mozilla resumes anyways....if you don't close the browser).

• I liked Shrek quite a bit, but Chicken Run was also a worthwhile movie, especially the Great Escape references.

Chicken Run is absolutely great, but that's hardly surprising given it's British humour.

I should watch that again. I saw it in theaters once. One of the first days it was running, and I was the only non-parent adult in the theater.

I have it on DVD. :)

Got chicken run for 10 euros. Nothing spectacular, Wallace & Gromit much better.

Think I'll put it on auction for 14 euros...
• My grandmother bought Chicken Run for me when I was like 7, and I haven't watched it since... it was a decent movie, though.
