What I don't get is what happened to all the other ships? Was the hammer the last surviving one? If there were more why couldn't they just sit inside the dock taking turns triggering their emps. Sure they'd screw everything in the dock over, but the machines wouldn't be able to get in either.

Neo wouldn't have given himself up if Trinity was still alive. Remember he said that he would give anything to keep his connection with her.

I agree, I've heard alot of people saying Reloaded made no sense. You have to watch Revolutions too...also playing through Enter the Matrix helps too, especially with the scene where they find Niobe and Ghost.

The other ships would get disabled when the first EMP was triggered.

My assumption was that if they were shut down when the emp went off they wouldn't be effected. How else would the Nebucchanezzer have gotten home after using their emp in the first movie?
Regardless I'd still like to know what happened to the other ships. Were the Hammer, Logos, and the 5 destroyed by smith all that was left?

[B]You're actually competely correct on all those points, there. :D
However, you still can't beat the "Kreig-ness" of the entire action sequence.
The APUs in the Animatrix were built with state of the art human technology using the vast amount of resources available to the military at that time. Zion had far less to work with in making their APUs in both senses.

Morden, I never said anything about the APU covers nor have I seen the Animatrix. So, I changed your post to say "Originally posted by ???".

I'm not being funny mate, but I DID include "Originally Posted by Mr. Shadow" before talking about the APU covers the first time around during an edit about 2 minutes after I submitted the post.

The Oracle said that she suspected we'd be seeing him in the future, but I don't believe that's a question that was meant to be answered. Maybe they're just completing the Christ allusion... (Anyone else notice how Neo got "crucified"?)

I watched Reloaded directly after seeing Revolutions (watched Rev with my friends, came home just as my family got back from renting Rel), and it helped both ways. There are a lot of things that only make sense in Reloaded once you've seen Revolutions, as well as vice versa. All in all, I think the trilogy was brilliant; a near-perfect mixture of exceptional plot and breathtaking action.
Also, something I figured out, but then forgot today. Neo's "connection" with the Source, which the Architect mentioned briefly, was my friends' main criticism of Revolutions. I figured the whole thing out, about what his connection is, and then forgot. Is The Source the "hard drive" containing the Matrix, or the giant Squid-face, or both? Stupid me...

Affirmative
actually...the more I think about it, the more I like it.
Yes, there were some DAMN sappy lines, in both reloaded and revolutions.
Yes, the Neo/Trin love thing was HORRID. they wer'nt in love, they were infatuated with eachother. I didn't think anyone could write a worse love story then Lucas, turns out it takes two to do that. Way to go Wortezesky(Or however you spell it) brothers, you topped Lucas for worst love story ever.
Actually, I'm coming to like the matrix trilagy as a whole, aside from that STUPID rave in Reloaded. It was actually pretty good...

Oh, and I was browsing the web for Matrix news... and I found a site discussing the Matrix. I thought it was being serious, until it determined that Neo was not, in fact, The One. According to the site, Monica Belluci's breasts, when combined, formed The One. :D
(Admittedly, they weren't that bad at all... )
All in all I liked Revolutions. It ended the whole Matrix respectfully. But after Revolutions... I just don't get one thing. What's the point of whole Matrix Reloaded? It's like a... well... not Matrix at all. After seeing Revolutions the whole Reloaded feels kinda pointless now.
Of course it was the worst... the first had the beginning, so it had plenty to explain and set up, while Revolutions got to tie up all the threads, and have the final fight, which is always the best. Reloaded, however, was tasked with carrying the story over between the two... Matrix gave us the concept, Reloaded refined it and presented us with the real enemy (Smith), and Revolutions ended it all. I prefer to think of Reloaded and Revolutions as one movie. :)
Anyone catch the Ocean Creature design to all the machines in the machine city?
It's not just the squids, but damn that schooling effect of the squids was sureal...
:)
Answers a few questions for me too...
I can say reasonably that the peace won't last forever, and it won't be the machines that break it... after a few generations the humans will become prideful and bend their minds toward war again. It's our nature...
