Tomatoes for smokers

RubberEagleRubberEagle What's a rubber eagle used for, anyway?
someone crossed tobacco and tomato plants, and now has a plant that supposedly has tobacco in the tomatoes (they tested the leaves, not the fruits for tobacco)

  • Frankly I'm stunned it hasn't been done already. :) I just hope he/she/it didn't get a grant for this.

There was an episode in The Simpsons with this sort of thing. Nuclear waste fused together the seeds of Tobacco and Tomato to form a third plant, Tomacco. Fun as hell. A lot of kids became vegetarians. :D

Sounds a bit like the "Caffeinated-Bacon" or the "Baconated-Grapefruit" they have for breakfast in Futurama. :D

They have also put the firefly gene into a tabacoo plant. And yes it does glow.

I didn't bother posting it - but I'm glad some-one was thinking along similar lines as me on this one. I can only hope they really did get something productive and positive out of this. Money, Attention???

I thought about starting smoking 'gain. But then I realised that it could take years before I'd get cancer. So no point in wasting the money.

    And fry my testicles?

I don't think so. They're the only part of me that I find working (and working with) at some kind of adequate level.

The rest of my functions and body is made mostly of scrap.
