    After ten or no later than fifteen years the Internet propably will be shut down for good because the Internet 2 will overthrow it.

    Internet may survive as an underground network for those who do not wish to be watched by the media and megacorporations (when their interest is drawn towards the Internet2)... but when the original DNS root servers cease to be in use because of the superior Internet2 they will be scrapped and transactions between several continents must be dealt with the Internet2.

    Internet2 (in my experience) is not backward compatible, so this means that the first Internet will die in lack of users.
