All the better. :)
Hide that damn thing anyways just incase your parents start looking for it.

Trillian isn't bloatware. The extra stuff is available as OPTIONAL plugins. The main program handles only the important stuff.
I bought the pro version, because it was worth every penny.
As did I, for the same reasons plus the fact that I consider it the best designed piece of software I've ever seen.

You actually PAID for something you can get for free.....that doesn't eat up NEAR as much memory and has the same functionality? Whatever floats yer boat. ;)
Last I checked, Miranda was only an ICQ client; if that's still the case, then it's far from being the same level of functionality as Trillian.

Actually, I tend to think the design of Trillian is flawed. I hate the history system, and I really wish they hadn't decided to write their own text field for message boxes. Cutting large sections of text tends not to leave the cursor where it should be, and sometimes leaves long lines of text that go off the side of the message box instead of wrapping.
That said, it's still far preferable to ICQ, which hasn't been good ever since AOL took over and added useless "feature" after useless "feature."

Far from it, Miranda also has support for IRC, MSN, AIM and other protocols, a plugin for the new version of Yahoo is in the works as well.

Yes, because I happen to like Trillian Pro more than Miranda or any other IM client I've used.

WRONG!
You definitely haven't been to the Miranda IM website in quite some time. It supports ICQ, AIM, Jabber, and MSN by DEFAULT. There are plugins for Yahoo and other IM services already available (and have been available for quite some time). There are even Secure IM and built-in chat plugins available. (chat now comes installed by default in the latest version)

That was your first mistake.

Exactly. Anything beyond 99b is just bloatware.
