But almost everyone is always good on online RP servers. It gets boring after a while. We must be evil to stir things up. Besides, evil is more interesting. You never see goody goody Paladins scheming or turning people against one another or anything like that now do you? No.
What advantage is there to being good? All you get to do is stand around talking to everyone about how much the Drow suck. That's it. And then when you're done, you just stand around for half an hour doing nothing because there aren't any solo quests at your mid level, and the DM quests are geared only towards swarms of system crashing mid level characters or a considerable amount of higher level characters, which you'll never be unless you eat, sleep, and drink the server and neglect significant others. And not only that, but 90% of the time you're standing around, and the other 10% your running for half an hour through an empty valley so that you can stand around again. And when you somehow die, the members of the Paladin order you're a part of abandon you to die and have your corpse looted as reward for defending the city.
That is what you get for being a namby-pamby do-gooder on an RP server.
In a way, by being evil, we will be doing good, because then it'll give all the good people something to do besides stand around.
Actually, it would be kind of cool if we played as evil charecters. Currently I'm mostly playing at Calmwind and there everyone is good and tries to help you, damn it would bee funny to kill everyone of em! :) Although they got lvl 20 charecters! :D
Still, we got a guild forum. You go nwn.bioware.com and login. Then you go to guilds/registry and then open the firstones guild you're member of. There should be a forum.
And more people join if you own NWN and plays online alittle bit even. :)

I can play anytime past 8PM EST on Mondays, and anytime past 11PM EST Tuesday - Thursday, and anytime past 2:30AM EST on Sundays.
Since we're going to act as a group, we may as well figure out what kind of characters we have so that it's a well rounded powerhouse full of specialists that compliment each other.
My suggestion is:
1 or 2 clerics, one with healing and magic domains, and the other with healing and something else that's useful in the server we go to. If it's City of Arabel, for example, the Earth doman can come in handy for turning those earth elementals that guarding the minable resources, and for its nifty stoneskin spell. Of course, that means an investment in charisma points for an ability that is way too specialized.
1 Wizard.
At least 1 tank, maybe more, so a Fighter or a Barbarian to stand next to the Wizard. It doesn't really matter which. Of course, just having another cleric wouldn't be a bad idea, either.
1 Rouge or Bard if we have enough people. Not really necessary but nice to have around.
Skill specialization will obviously also have to be kept in mind. We only need one diplomat, one guy that can identify stuff (the wizard), etc.
I myself wouldn't mind being the wizard or cleric.
I'm in if I can get my damn game working.. (patcher is acting wierd), I'd happly play the rogue.
How about for people who don't want to be COMPLETELY evil, we do this:
We choose a base alignment for the group (IE: in this case, NE) and whatever PC's in the group can choose an alignment one "space" away (LE, CE, and N in this case).
No chaotic evils! They are lame. Neutral evil is cold. Lawful evil is bastardish. Chaotic evil is just weak and undisciplined. If we are evil, we must be an intentional, well thought out, methodical evil. If you want to be neutral, I guess thats ok. But no good.
BigglesThe Man Without a Face
I play best as a ranger. I'm not sure how well I can play an evil character, but I can definitely play a neutral one.

Everyone on this board can play an evil character. Just act like Sierra.
BigglesThe Man Without a Face
No! I cannot stoop so low! Playing lawful/neutral evil is one thing, but going as low as chaotic sierra?

Too bad I'm the party Ranger, eh? ;)
Rangers are just my thing... they friggin' rock. Especially Neutral/Evil ones.
It is ours... they cannot haves it, preciouss! Filthy little firstoneses!
There are many, many more problems than that.... but ok. I don't know which servers don't require SoU, so hurry up with the suggestions, people! There is evil to spread and children to make cry!
And one who requested to join but I haven't accepted yet. I don't know who it was but I pointed out this place to him/her. :)
And exile didn't I tell you to find a none SoU server. I can't find one becuse it doesn't say in server description if it's none SoU and I can join everyone of em because I own SoU. :)
There should be none SoU server because on nwn.bioware.com it says 80% playing online with SoU.
BigglesThe Man Without a Face
YES!!! the_exile also thought about getting SoU, then we would have one problem less!! :)
Still, soon Bioware releases HoU and that'll be a extra 30? for me. I really hope thay won't release anymore expansion packs.
I suck at non-fighter classes, and Rangers are AWESOME! I will be a Lawful Evil Ranger.
Also, I might get SoU, but not within the next couple weeks, so I suggest we find a non-SoU server, and upgrade when everyone gets the xpak. I'll try and find one, but I recommend everyone else searches too.
BigglesThe Man Without a Face
I won't be getting SoU for at least 3 weeks (ie when exams are over).
As for classes, well I generally suck at anything other than ranger, but I can probably handle being a rogue. I don't really want to be a generic nothing-special fighter.
I heard that the "Thain" sever is a none SoU server. Could someone that doesn't own SoU check it out if it's true and the report back here if we can start to play there.
OK! I got some information why "Thain" hasn't been updated to SoU.
The owner, BitRaiser, of "Thain" owns a copy of SoU but because Atari thought SecuROM was a good idea thay put that on SoU (NWN doesn't contain SecuROM). Because the owner got a 2 year old CD drive SoU doesn't work on his machine. He said he won't update for a time now, so "Thain" is a good place to start playing for us untill, and if people update to SoU here.
This is also a warning to people here that if you know your CD drive doesn't support SecuROM, don't update.

Anyway, for all those interested, what class will you play? We must decide who will specialize in the non combat skills only one person has to have.
