Lord Refa
Creepy, but in a good way
in Zocalo v2.0
Who has seen that movie?
It was for sale in Anttila, for 6.9 euros. Had to buy it after I saw the trailer in Ginger Snaps (another cheap dvd I bought recently). The alchemist.. He's gotta be one of the coolest villains I've seen recently.
That mask, the movements and all. Goddamit. Fantastic.
The whole movie's shot digitally too, looks really good. Allright, it looks a lot like fake for most of the time, but hell. It fits.
Anyway. All finns, get that movie, all non-finns, watch it somehow.
And don't go spoiling 'ere if you've seen it. I know I could see it quite early on.
I guess it ruins a good surprise when you've seen too many movies and can see "subtle" hints of the truth everywhere. :)
Ofcourse, in real life, the truth is better hidden. But I find it always. But that's about that. Vidocq, the best french movie since City of Lost Children.

Nice to hear good things about it. At least I know that my 6.9 € weren't wasted. :)
