not sure how i feel about this......

I mean they havent made a good straight FF game since 7 and it wasnt nearly as good as 6. most of the games now are excuses to do more cinema in games anyway.

Maybe the Final Fantasy series will become straight movies? hmmm? nah, spirits within is pretty crappy.

    FF7 was the best game I have ever played. However I have to disagree with u, aside from 8, the more recent final fantasies have been pretty good.
    I would have prefered a game sequal to this title but a movie will do i guess.

    maybe im just an old schooler by nature but 6 and since then they have put more time in on the cinematics then the story or the gameplay.

    SNES FF games were the best. The rest haven't really gotten into me. 7 was boring, and I got really annoyed at those stupid fight-the-baddie-for-1 hour-and-watch-him-get-away-with-you-half-dead-and-enemies-storming-at-you-scenes that it had a plenty.

    One of them had a song by Kelly Chen though.. So prolly have to get it one day. or was it Faye Wong? Both are sexy singers anyway.

    I think FF6 is definitely the peak of the FF series. FF7 is great, lots of fun, great story and characters. FF8 had a good story but the characters were a little off and the gameplay mechanics just plain sucked (they tried too many new things at once, admirable but it didn't work). FF9 is great, it's a good return to the fun style of the SNES ones. FFX is just plain great, I would put it second only to 6.

    I'd comment, but unfortunately I've never actually managed to finish any of the Final Fantasy games. I made it to the end of 7.. then my copy got stolen. Then when I heard about parts in the Japanese version that got cut out of the US version, I gave F7 a double-birdie and never got back to it.

    That gripe aside I'll definately check this one out. Except for the stupid ending, Spirits Within was terrific.

    its better story wise that you cant do that. because it makes seperoth a true evil character that you must destroy. For revenge of your fallen comrade.
