Heh, my mate has a set of 3!
All I want/need is one.. or two, if I become the Merc with a Mouth (comicbook geek, I know).
I think I'll start a new hobby!
Collecting? or massacring?:D
*Looks around room*
Oh.
Regards,
Morden
beyond that, I want to learn how to actually use it. And I want to actually fight with it in mock combat, a sparring match with swards if you will....
its on my list of things to do before I die. (The list grows...but its acomplishable I believe...)

anyone know any people that teach swardplay in Florida?
No I can't!
*DROOL*, damn. Now I have to clean the floor... again! :(
You know... I think I'm really gonna buy that sword. It's only two months pay anyway.
How much does it cost?
1200 ??

About 1600 euros. So I'd have almost 500-600 euros left to spend even.

Whoa, that much? For example, the award-winning Siberian-made TAL-200K Klevtsov-Cassegrain reflector telescope with a big (200mm in diameter) main mirror costs about 1600 € too, ever thought to observe lunar seas instead of your lunacies? :-)

Bah, humbug.
Well, yeah, it's a bit ordinary and so forth but if you want a sturdy allaround knife for everyday killing and shutting-those-kids-and-neighbours-up-with-a-twist you can't make a better choice.
Bought it in the army, still use it. Great for gardening (read: chopping trees with it), opening letters, sharpening erasers (Hey, I do precision work :)) and stabbing it in the middle of the table with a loud YAAAARRRGGGHHH! if you want some attention in the conversation. ;)
Those fantasy blades look reeeeeeal tasty, though. :)

You can do that with any sharp knife. And it's always fun if the blade shatters, and hits someone in the eye.
WTF? A Finnish site and they don't have SISSIPUUKKO?

Well, I'm happy with my own Victorinox Swiss Tool. The corkscrew comes very handy when it's "shutting-those-kids-and-neighbours-up-with-a-twist" -time. ;-)

Roselli managed to reinvent the ancient method used (and forgot) by the Maure's over a thousand years ago - the method of producing ultra high eutectoid carbon steel. It remains to be seen how long UHC can hold its pole position...

Ah,you mean "LARP-ing". (Live Action Roll-Playing). :)
My mate's cousin does it with a full leather and mail jerkin carrying a massive warhammer, and he says's it's a great laugh.
It's something that I'd like to get into, too, I just don't have th money. I crossbow would be nice, and a sword...
Regards,
Morden
Damn it, Refa, you and your links! Now that I went through the catalog, I couldn't help ordering myself one of the tactical knives. The Fox Cutlery Exagon Fighter II. It's not a sword, but I figured it would be nice to have a little backup, in a place like Mexico where I can actually carry one ;)
You can carry it around here too, sure, it might not be exactly legal or such, but hell. Laws are made to be broken.. or was it rules.. same difference.
I think I might have trouble with carrying that Katana pretty much everywhere.

no, an actual duel, where the object is to win, but NOT to kill. (So you stop the killing blow short of the target.
And I sometimes LARP too. You never get in any good fights though.

Morden

The blade's 5mm thick carbon steel so you can practically stick it hard on anything (;)) without breaking the blade... Sooo... not quite the same. :)

Well that's always fun too. :D
