I was just wondering here that I don't even remember the last time when someone would have posted stuff here that wouldn't have been CGI or renders. Sure, this is a B5 board and it explains the absence of pen&paper quite a lot but still...
So I decided to post something myself to encourage others to follow... dunno if it'll work but I hope so, I'd like to see some more traditional artsy stuff here too, I know you guys have it in you. :)

Although that's not a painting, it's pencils on a clipart cardboard. Good combination, you can really press down the colours hard without tearing the surface.
And that's from the version I use as my desktop, which means that most of the paper's natural noise is taken out with me' comp, and I changed the background into a harder shade of black too.
Though I'd endorse some pencils here.

I use the Studio -line 36 -range colours which are rather cheap at the moment if you happen to walk in the right store. They don't seem to be very popular by the looks of the fact that they're replacing them soon with the Artists -range, methinks. But I like 'em, and especially what the results look like. :)
