Now guess what I did for roughly around the first 4 weeks in our battery that was heavily overpopulated with lower ranking officers? ;) Slept and read. Even during service hours. There just wasn't enough stuff around for us to do. :)
If you happened to actually loan books from the library, you beat me there but comics? Get outta here. :) During my last six months there I went to the library for at least 3 times a week. And I read almost every non-anime comic book available in that lil' nook. :) I let anime get to me too at the end of my service but...
Soo... anyways, The Watchmen, I read that too. Good comic, although I'm not certain which one it was of the bunch... Was it the one about the outdated, publicly outcast superheroes? The one where there was this one big Blue guy that could make particles do whatever he wanted? That's the closest recollection to that direction that I have. Stories stick to me pretty well, names not so well. :)
Well, yes. It didn't strike me as anything extraordinary but it was a damn good comic and well worth the time spent reading it.
There just was little competition for the best comic read in the army -title as I devoured every piece of Sandman & Judge Dredd they had on the shelves. ;) Also, Martha Washington Saves The World & Give Me Liberty were good pieces. I just seem to remember the ones that really made me think, stirred me' emotions or were great humour pieces. The Watchmen were something of a middle-league item in those terms. A bit of everything but nothing to make it great. I'm guessing you felt most likeness to the Vietnam-Gun-Ho guy who just killed everyone without remorse. :D Including his pregnant girlfriend... or was it like that, I don't remember anymore? A good character, that, though.
And Lobo Rocks! Damn, I wish they'd had more than "Greatest Hits" and "The Last Czarnian" there...

And about the Hot Or Not ratings. I've been thinking of 'em lately, and I think it's using that easy-to-get-through-higschool-course-system. Meaning that your initial points are 10 with 0 votes, and when you get enough reference, your score goes down or stays at the perfect ten. With all my votes, I'd probably be a 6 if it wasn't for that...

It doesn't stop there. There can be a daily limit, though. Some pictures are rated over a thousand times.

Bleargh! Not only am I average-looking at best, I have a terrible haircut... and not enough motivation to get rid of it. The very front end of my head is spiked so I look like the Statue of Liberty (with more spikes...), and the rest is just randomly combed into submission. I want to grow my hair out a few inches, and just let it do whatever it wants. Gel is a pain to put in, and when it comes out, it looks like you've got ridiculous dandruff. Oh well, if you're supporting Refa (no offense, man.. :D), I suppose this could serve as a confidence-booster. :)
Only thing that could boost my confidence concerning this hotornot/meetme thing, is if i'd get to insert my joystick into diskslot of some of the girly girls on my double-match list...
