It was the dark empire series as i recall.
In my humble opinion, the Thrawn trilogy/duology are in my mind the best of the EU books, with the X-wing series close behind, and behind them somewhere the jedi academy and NJO books. Centerpoint was ok, but overall nothing special.
BTW, anyone know where the Soverign class SSD's appear. I've been trying to find out but aint had much luck.
I read 2/3 of the Centrepoint series, I agree that it was nothing really special, but I liked the background it made for the Corellian system...
Something that makes playing SWG a bit more special :p
Interesting sidenote, the guy who wrote the Centrepoint trilogy was one half of the team who did the "Robotech" Novelization, which was pretty good considering the source material...
I own all the NJO books, and it's what convinced me to get all the other stuff, too. We NEED an NJO game, definetely. I forgot about the Peace Brigade...
Haven't read centerpoint, so I didn't know. Just wish Dark Empire was a novel I could get at a library, so I could actually know what they're talking about when Luke reminisces of his days on the Dark Side of the Force...
Just came back to our house with a decent DSL conn... can't wait to go back to the saber arenas... :) Outcast's MP rocked, this one's going to be better, I believe. No force saber only... bring it on. Muah.
The only downside being that I'm going to be very poor. I ABSOLUTELY will have to get:
Metal Gear Solid (GC) 65e
Soul Calibur 2 (GC) 65e
Max Payne 2 (PC) 45e
Half-Life 2 (PC) 45e
+ Jedi Academy (PC) 45e
Grand total of 265e.
And once my Visa Electron arrives I'll be ordering the 3 first B5 seasons for a bundled price of about 150e, so... *gulp*
