Rogue TraderRogue Trader Somebody stop him...
while im rather young (he was 100 years old) i still found his humor delightful, and what he did for the US arms services was just plain awesome.

Lots of people may live to be 100, but not lots of people manage to give soldiers who were probably never going to make it home a chance to be happy and forget about a few things for a while.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

I loved Bob Hope, he was a GREAT comedian. :(
Tis a sad day indeed, even in his age he still cracked good jokes.
    *Sigh*

he celebrated his birthday in may.

he was a great man who devoted an insane amount of time to entertaining troops who were abroad. he also made some of the funniest movies around.
  • croxiscroxis I am the walrus
While I'm sad he died, I think it would be best if we celibrate what he has done.

What he did, and has done, is a cause worth living for, IMHO.

Yesterday, on Entertainment Tonight, I saw a clip I had seen on his hundredth birthday special as well. Bob Hope was on a show (I can't remember which one) with a very, very young Tiger Woods. They decided to have Tiger play Bob in a golf game. The set up a little putting green, and let Tiger go first.

The ball was about five feet from the hole. Tiger lined up the shot, leaned over, picked up the golf ball, put it down about two inchs away from the hole, and putted it into the hole with one shot. I'm not sure how Bob did. ;)
