Kinda bummed...
My best bud had to go into the Vet Hospital today for about 4 days...
Seems his Pancrease (SP?) failed...
They have him on IV and Antibiotics, and feel 80% sure that he'll be back to working order (including his Pancrease) soon.
Poor guy has been miserable... Vet wasn't available till today...

Get well soon buddy!

Hope he gets better. Snuggle him from me eh?
What sucks ever more is that, in the last two years I had my Dog, and one of my cats die on me:(
We'll know better or worse tomorrow afternoon what direction he'll take.
Hang in there buddy!
:)
I know exactly what you're going through. I lost my little girl last year to cancer... (Ophelia, my Doberman)...not a fun time
:/
-R.
He's still puking, and won't eat, they have him on insulin again.
Vet says don't give up though, another day will tell for sure.
Tomorrow afternoon is an important decision.
:(
Stay strong buddy...
Not sure what the numbers mean, but in his blood work they said it went from ~1200 to ~600 concerning his pancrease (SP?), which the Vet said was what she was looking for as a good sign the day before. So, if he can manage to hold down what he eats and he keeps up the rate of improvement, he'll be home soon.
My wife and I went by to see him this morning, I had to take off for work, but the news was good enough to wait another day on any decisions.
Oh, and according to my handy dandy dictionary that I keep beside my computer, it's spelt "pancreas". You almost had it, just one to many e's.
Looks like he's coming around...
:)
Glad to hear the news :)
Blood Sugar is coming down, although some of it is because of the insulin boosts.
It would be great if he came out of this without being diabetic at all, but I'll take what we have now without complaint! ;)
He's gonna stay there over the weekend instead of coming home tomorrow, it's better for him we think, although I'd love to have him home, and you can tell he wants to come home.
:)
Thanks everybody! Really!
Thank god for VISA... LOL
Right now, I at least have my gfs cats to annoy ;)
And Jack. Great news! :)
Ain't love grand!
:D
Still needs insulin, but it may go away in a few weeks... :)
He looks like such a cute 'lil guy...

He has such pretty eyes!
I really hope you and Jaco can have fun once he recovers fully :D
On a semi-related note, I should bring one of my cats (Bobo, not the monkey) to a vet soon. He's started getting somewhat skinny in the past few weeks, and has really started to lose his energy recently. It could just be old age, but quick arrival is what worries me.
Ah well, catnip and warm weather still livens him up. And he has gained a bit of weight from the recent introduction of more fatty foods and other goodies. At least he's not overweight, like Annibelle ;)

Thank you for the clarification.
every day you meet quite a few."
Name the source and win the rubber cigar.
Rubber Cigar kinda gives me a clue...
:D
Speaking of grouchy...
Jaco is doing much better. He now growls at us when the insulin shot is imminent....
:D
