Meh. It got a 7Something% in PC Gamer, and their reviews are always right. (Except on Mad Dog McCree or w/e it's called... that game ROCKS!) OF is not a buggy or poorly designed game, it just isn't as fun, original, and involving as it should and could be. I would play it, if I couldn't play similar yet better games.

WHY DOES EVERYONE HATE ZERG RUSHES? I think it's fun to watch the pitifully underpowered beasties (at first, anyways) run at my bunkers and go POP after inflicting 5 damage.

No they can't. (Ref: A certain Crusade episode with a certain technomage that has a thing for golden dragons and.....peanut butter) The only cannon I know of capable of doing so over time is the G.O.D. cannon, which is only on the global defense satelites and the Warlock-class warship.
Anyways, back to the sillyness:
A single peacekeepr command carrier is capable of destroying a planet.....and I've got the entire PK military at my disposal. :drevil: Hell, I've even got fleets of leviathan gunships at my command. :D You've seen Talyn pissed off.....just imagine what fleets of them would do. :p

Where did you read about the GOD cannon?
Dearie me, you and your Peacekeepers... :p
Anyway, wasn't Talyn a one-off? (Pity the little bugger got killed, he was f*cking Kreig.)

PC Gamer UK gave Flashpoint over 90% as well as a "Game of Distinction" award.
IMO it's also has many original concepts that previous soldier sims such as Delta force didn't do. (Wounds, realistic damage, etc...)

Canonitcally, he was. However, after the successful birth of Talyn, no doubt PK high command will want to reproduce similar ships given their durability and fierce nature....and considerable firepower to size ratio.

I might have missed it, but Crusade was shown a LONG time ago over here.
Veteran vs. debatator? Does that mean you're just good at debating, or you think you know more on the subject than myself?
A theory, but a theory nonetheless. If the Peacekeepers could so easily reproduce ships like Tayln, why were they so pre-occupied with re-capturing him?

lol, Biggles, I read that at night after trying to teach Morden here CS. My comprende maintenant.
"Trying" to teach me how to play CS? I think you did a pretty good job. ;)
Anyway, I took it on myself to try and connect myself, and I've played about a dozen games online! (My Kill ratio's ok for a n00b, about 1:1, so at least I'm taking someone down with me.) :)
Bah, that's cuz yer picking the nub servers :D. Sometime when I'm on (Like right now... ANSWER ME!), we'll have to go to one of my servers, get you properly pwned.

I've been doing debates since late 1997 so it'd be a little bit of both. Not that it matters a whole hell of beans anyways. ;)

It wasn't him they were after, it was Crais. He knew alot of rather big secrets that high command didn't want to get out. Thats why they send out Aeryn's mother to retrieve him, and the gunship if possible.

Good on you if you do it verbally, I'm more of an internet debator myself. ;)
Hmm, Bylar Crais didn't strike me as the kind of guy who would go around leaking Peacekeeper secrets; despite deviating from orders by pursuing John and the gang he was a devoted officer, and I don't think he'd ever betray the military.
However, I can see why command would want to take the precaution otherwise.

I admit to Crais beinf an "ends justify the means" kinda guy, but I'm adament this wouldn't have involved betraying the Peacekeepers, at least on a large scale.
I work best in a team, and that's how Counterstrike should be to everyone.
If you go out in sections of 3 or 4 strong against a team which is scattered, you'll always win because of the concentrated firepower brought to bear. (An individual enemy would only be able to squeeze-off two rounds before being dropped.)
It's far more satisfying working as a team as well, knowing that you've accurately simulated the real situations the game is actually based on. :)
