There must be a cold going around. I wonder how hard it would be for a particular writer to re-create a particular map, because he is writing a particular story and we may need a map to go along with it.
He would probably say that the map for the game, while complete enough for ITF, was never finished in terms of "present-ability", and does not include all canon locations mentioned in the show. In addition, it has been noted that the assignment of “sectors” by Joe was seemingly random, and trying to make sense of the sectors in terms of a map is frustrating, to say the least. To make something like the ITF map "presentable" would be beyond the writer's area of expertise, and time allotment.
Nevertheless, I suppose he (or she) may be able to come up with something rough. I’ll have to ask.
