Leaving on a jetplane...

RhettRhett (Not even a monkey)
I am off to Austria and Switzerland with my mom, sister, and grandmother! We fly out tommorow from LAX. We will be gone for a total of 3 weeks :) spending two in Switzerland (in the smallish town of Kandersteg) and one week in Austria (in Salzburg)... As a result, I will of course have no acess to a computer, and I just want to wish you all a great three weeks. Dont do anything drastic while I am gone... :D And don't give in to the tyranny!!! ;)

P.S. On a side note, I just got back last night from the Southern California HOBY conference (a leadership conference for sophomores in high school- one kid per school is chosen by administration/teachers based off of an essay and an interview). The conference was a blast, but what is really cool is the next part. I have been chosen to represent california at the World Leadership Congress (sponsered by the same organization) in Washington DC. There were 4 people chosen out of the ~150 people who participated in the SCal conference... So I am really excited about this... A week in DC where I will meet many influential leaders (Colin Powell might be speaking!). Thanks for reading through my excited jibberish... I look forward to seeing (er... writing to) all of you when I get back.

A little village in Switzerland sounds like a damn good place to spend a couple of weeks.

Oh, you have no idea. On our first flight home, we had to turn around because we lost an engine. Somehow we had lost all the oil to this engine on takeoff, smoke filled the cabin, and so we had to turn around to Zurich. Then we had to dump a hell of alot of fuel, because we were too heavy to land (ended up flying around for 2 hrs dumping fuel, which is a really bitchin sight) This dumb bitch sitting right next to my mom was going psycho and getting hysterical, saying she was having an allergic reaction to the smoke, blah blah blah.
I wanted to tell her- you know what, iof you are going to die, you are going to die, isnt a damn thing you can do. Of course, I didnt think we were going to die, but some people looked pretty dman nervous. Actually, it was quite an experiance. That delayed our home trip by 4 hrs.

You can! But it'll cost you a great amount of your personal time in a small room with barred windows...

    :)

    That's a problem ;)
  • Knocking sense into them would require... well, an RPG at the very least.

And not the kind you play on your PC.

Have a great time! And what part of Switzerland are you going to?
  • RhettRhett (Not even a monkey)
Well, Im back already, but we went to Kandersteg (kinda around Interlaken if you know where that is)- basically the Bernese Oberland. But we travelled all around, made it down to Locarno, to Zermatt, Zurich for a day, Bern, ect. Actually, packed a whole hell of a lot into two weeks. We should get pictures back today so I will scan some and post them.
