OK, now I'm excited. A miniseries is really the only way to do these books; there's just too much to cram into a commercial film.

Damn, this would be really cool if they could get it right... Remember when I brought this up a while ago? MAybe it will finally happen... I think it can be great as long as they let Robinson keep the miniseries as close as possible to his original vision.

I wish that Sci Fi would do a miniseries of Battlefield Earth, I had never read the book, only seen the crappy movie, and finally decided to read it, and it would make a GREAT miniseries, done in 10-15 parts 2 hours apiece.

If you've never read it, and just know it from the movie, Read the book, its great especially if you like Epic novels.

Lets all hope this movie does not end up like Star trek the Motion Pictures.
*Sutters at the thought of StaTrek 1*

I've been pleasently surprised by SciFi's treatment of Dune (original and Dune MEssiah) Both were true to the book and had a good 'feel'.

Dang it, now I'm optimistic about it, which can only lead to disappointment.

I want them to do Wheel of Time..

I mean, it would take about 40 hours a book...but MAN...would rock...*Thinks*

40 hours a book...10 books...(Thus Far) 400 hours of WoT bliss...hmmm...

OK, 40 may be a bit much, but no less then 10 hours a book...
