  How did you find them? All I could find for the full screen one was a damn Quicktime launcher plugin. I hate that launcher plugin, it hides the true URL.

  pretty much everyone is doing that embedding thing, only sci-fi's one (thank goodness) was very very simple!!!!
  
  
  1: looked at the source code for the page and got each url to the html page (apart from the full screen one which was right there, in black and white)
  
  2: went to each page and then view their' source codes
  
  3: and in there was the little url of the movie file.......all it bits of course, but still there
  
  man i'm so glad it wasn't movie complicated...I love having trailers on my computer eh!!

  Any embedded Quicktime file is placed in your Temporary Internet Files (provided that you tell Quicktime to save streaming content to the harddrive in the QT settings).
  
  All you have to do is open your cache and copy the file to another location.

  Sam: bad news! With quicktime five it seems that apple has begun hiding the movie cache even further!
  For some things, such as Lord of the Rings, it would simply be a file linking to a script which buffered the movie to a mystery folder. Annoying.

  Yes, Quicktime 5 hides them, even when saying "save to cache". I actually found where it saves the LotR trailer. It gets put into a temporary file in your windows/temp directory. Unfortunately it gets deleted as soon as you close the quicktime window, and you can't copy it anywhere while quicktime is open because windows throws a sharing violation. Most annoying.

  I can't see why they do that... why stop people from having the trailer?? I suppose it stops people sending it round to their mates, who then don't go to the main site to look at it and end up buying something while they're there.

  But with pro you can download them like an image *click, hold, download to disk*, so it must be like presentation mode, something nice you can live without.
