Remember, we hit Afghanistan with cruise missile strikes to try and take out Bin Laden.

It's all so scary. I was in shock. I posted that first message of mine at a fevered pace. I had just learned the first tower had fallen. It was...shocking. Just like something out of a movie.
I can simply not imagine NYC without its towers, now.
Re: my earlier posting on the 911 call (from MSNBC):
An emergency dispatcher in Westmoreland County, Pa., received a cell phone call at 9:58 a.m. ET from a man who said he was a passenger locked in the bathroom of United Flight 93, said dispatch supervisor Glenn Cramer.
“We are being hijacked, we are being hijacked!” Cramer quoted the man as saying. The man told dispatchers the plane “was going down. He heard some sort of explosion and saw white smoke coming from the plane and we lost contact with him,” Cramer said.
Rep. James Moran, D-Va., said Marine Corps officers disclosed at a briefing that the hijackers apparently were trying to crash the jet into Camp David, located in the mountains of Maryland.

I have seen footage of people jumping from the flames, and a man and a woman were holding hands when they jumped. Oh God. They didn't deserve it. Can you imagine all the kids without their parents now? What really ironic is that my brother put on a John Lennon shirt before all of this happened.
I feel very upset that something like this has happened, aspecially in the US, which has anti-terrorism prioritized. I have been in front of the TV all evening watching both Swedish news, as well as the CNN feed. It feels so terrible that so many innocent lives were lost in this tragedy. And I condemn the cowards responsible for this attack on civilians.
My thoughts and deepest sympathy goes to the American people tonight.

I also want to thank the Canadians. I have heard (not in the news, buy word of mouth) that they have took in the wounded. Thatk you, everyone, for your support. It does mean alot to us, even though we may not say so.
The FBI has established a hotline for anyone with information on the bombing to turn in information:
the address is http://www.ifcc.fbi.gov
Please use this only if you have serious information.
This is from the news briefing in progress with Secretary of Transportation Norm Mineta.
Nothing would make me more proud than a member of the online community finding information that leads to bringing these criminals to justice.

I had a thought. What if these attacks and our incedents were part of a campaign to start a war between our nations by a third party? I don't think its likely, but there has been little information released on theorys as to the motives and identitys of the attackers.

Shadow Boxer i fear you may be right. In one morning they managed to cripple the country and turn the world to shit. We are at war against whatever attacked us, and I fear it will be a long and bloody conflict. This will certainly not be an event that ends here today, and it seems even too big for just a single terrorist organization to attempt. On the 6th of November I will be legal draft age, and though I dont wish to lose my life, I also want revenge for what has happened. This could be a large scale organized attack, or it could be the beginning of World War 3. The world will never be the same.
