    With the money I almost spent going to my prom, I could easily buy a car, or a damn good computer system, or a hellishly cool mystery box.

    Instead of going to prom, I went out to town with some friends. Cost me $10 for gas.

    $10 vs. $1,600. Think about it.

    While I agree that it is overrated, mine cost me about $350. (And that was after the Tux and tickets.)

    Shit. Our proms cost around 300. I will prolly go as a juinior next year, I figure I can get a senior to ask me out. I agree- just relax and have fun.

    I did go to my Senior Banquet at the cost of $80 for admission and a nice Jacket. It turned out quite interestingly.

    After a few hours of waiting, dinner was served. And you know what? It was awful. So awful that, given the torrential rain (It was pouring outside, so there wasn't much else to do other than the banquet), me and two friends drove out to McDonalds and got some food there. And it was damn good food, too!

    It's honestly sad when your best memories of a night like that involve you escaping a four star cook for one being paid minimum wage to push a button.

    Only spent $350 on my prom....and I'd gladly do it all over again! Thats one night that I'll never forget. :) Got the best sex of my life that night too. :D

    My prom was over the Mississippi River on an old-style riverboat.. :)

    Whoo! It kicked ass. Didn't dance much (meh girlfriend nor I are too coordinated in that area, yay slow dancing!) and the time spent with friends totally kicked ass. I also got to help my best friend give his girlfriend their 1 year anniversery ring, a week early (that night made 1 year since they met). LOTS of memories..

    It only cost me around 200 to go.. corssage, tickets, and tux rental. Took my F-350 Dually which is more or a show truck that anything :D

    and and and! Me? Talk about PORN?? :eek: Neveeeeeeeeeeer..

    well, okay, maybe every other minute, but who's counting?

    Seeing Sanfam mention the Senior Banquet, I have my Senior breakfast coming up.. next saturday I believe, and that afternoon, I finally graduate highschool and can get things set to attent the local collage to get my core classes out of the way, and possibly cash in my $1,000 scholarship to a place where it'll SERIOUSLY be needed. (NCTC ish cheap)

    ONE MORE WEEK OF SCHOOL FOR ME *DANCEDANCEDANCECOLLAPSES*

    I missed mine also. Went with my girl to a motel. With limo and bribes to get drinks it can easily go to 1600. It only cost me 200!! Well that was so many years ago now I feel old.
