A few days ago, I picked up a DELL Axim X5 handheld pc. I'm posting this message from it, and so far, I'm loving it. Handwriting recognition is really pretty reliable; It's come along way since I first used the technology. Plus, there are lots of programs and games available for windows pocket pc. I spent an hour last night playing Day of the Tentacle using an emulator. I even found a really nice Commodore 64 emulator that really brings back the memories.
Overall, I'm really having a lot of fun with this thing. I even found a complete season guite to Babylon 5 in e-book format!

I have been thinking if I should get a Nokia cellphone with symbia OS, and then get Opera for handheld devices to it. Could bee pritty cool!
The memory is more than plentiful, and the features are abundant and very useful. Battery life is incredible, the screen is very bright and sharp, and the Pocket PC 2002 OS just damn good!
More comments when I'm not pressed for time.
You think it looks like crap on that...try an actual handheld PC... (as opposed to the dell, which is a pocket) not only are they all, save the Jornada 720 (which is WAY too expensive for me even on EBay), slow as heck, but once the dang thing finally loads, it still looks like crap.
It was hard to give up the built-in keyboards, but the Axim is well worth it...
On some handheld PCs, webpages actually look better, because the screen is landscaped.
Want my H/PC? Here. Take it. Take it!
