Kazaalite versions

I was just wondering what version of KaZaA Lite everyone prefers. I'm still using 1.7.1, and getting annoyed by the startup message asking me to upgrade. Anyone know if v2.0.2 is any good?

    I use the Kazaa-lite version that is modified (K++) for 2.0.2 (has lots of nice features like options to automatically search more, always keeps your rating at 1000, ect). You can get it from: http://doa2.host.sk/

    Check out the latest K++ release (Kazaa lite, new name).

    It's got some incredible features. :)

    Check out Shareaza, it has heaps of nice features, and I think it runs on the same network as kazaa.

    The difference? Nothing major. Just a shitload of spyware, adware, and related stuff.

    On the topic of spyware, I highly recommend these two for those who don't have them already:

    YEa, I use AD-Aware (although I dont get much spyware/Adware anymore)/.

    I've been using Ad-Aware for quite some time, but seems I forgot to upgrade. Thanks for reminding me. But how's SS&D different from Ad-Aware?

    Heh heh... Yeah, but did you catch the link? :D

    In my experience, Spybot (I got the name wrong the first time around ;)) S&D catches some things Ad-aware doesn't. It also has more features and updates more frequently. I run both though, for good measure.
  • Just installed Spybot, found a few nasties that Adaware missed :D

    Also installed Kazaalite 2.1.0.. but it doesn't seem to be working. Granted I haven't been using for long, but downloads either aren't happening or showing up as "paused" even though I didn't pause them. On the Search tab under the Options button, there's a message at the bottom "KaZap disabled! Switch to Traffic Tab!". Doing so does nothing.

    Anyone else experience this? When I installed I left the "Supertrick" box unchecked, maybe I'll try reinstalling with it.

    Edit: Speak of the devil. The second I posted this, downloads started working :rolleyes: I'm still getting the Kazap disabled message though.

    heh, my friend once ran AdAware and have over 2,000 instances, he told it to delete all.

    then had to format. :D

    Kazaa = BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD

    Kazaalite = ROCK ON!!!!
