And the communists and liberals are going to show up and tell us how we're degenerating into a fascist nation by limiting free speech in 5...4...3...2...1...
I'd love to see Bush STFU.
You, however, have the right to say whatever you like. Just don't condemn me for disagreeing with it.

Precognition?? Or just predictability :D

I support the troops. I support the military. I do not support the politics behind it.
You know what Bush said today? "We belive Syria has stockpiles of Chemical Weapons"
I have a question: Will this war ever end? Afghanistan I supported. Iraq I was against becuase I saw it as just the begining. Syria and Iran here we come. AHRG! It is one thing to use the military for defense of the US. It is another to conquor every country that has ever threatened us.
I even heard today that the Hawks are starting to talk about invading Cuba to remove Castro. In the last 10 years, what has Castro done to us? He has sat on his island nation and made faces. Nothing more. He is impotent.
With Sadam, pictures from Tikrit showed Iraqi tanks with missing treads all lined up. These were not bomb damage. There was gras growing next to the tanks! If the missing treads were bomb damage, don't you think you would see some damage on the ground? Saddam was impotent also. His military was falling appart it looks like. I agree he may have chemical weapons. I agree he was a leader who torchered the Iraqi people. I still don't see how he threated the security of the United States.
War is a matter of national security. Not liberating another country becuase you (a) dissagree with their human rights, (b) they have oil, (c) they are lead by a dictator, (d) they have Chemical weapons that have no ability to hit any US target and are more a threat to their neighbors...WHO OPPOSED THIS WAR.
I would like to know what national security issue we had with Iraq that needed us to actually invade?
If that one small pocket in Iraq on the Iran border supported Al Queda, well...we used Cruise Missiles before to take out terrorist camps in countries that didn't want us in and wouldn't deal with the terrorists on their own!
I support the troops. I support the military. I do not support the politics behind it. Before the war I was opposed to the war. Durring I was for a quick victory. I still don't think we should have gone in. I see no national security reason why Iraq couldn't have been handled differently. I see plenty of national security reasons against having invaded: Potential increase in terrorism becuase of the invastion, potential responce by Syria or Iran in a negative way to the US "occupation." Several others.
I have talked to a freind of mine that stands as follows:
He is FOR the war becuase it is a war of liberation. He support the US installing democracy in other countries.
He is FOR exploiting the oil in Iraq to pay for the war.
He does not see these two items as mutally exclusive...how can you exploit a country and instill a true democracy???
Now a few other things dealing with Bush:
-He is pushing a big tax cut.
-He is pushing an increase in domestic spending (homeland security, etc)
-He is pushing an increase in international spending (paying off nations to help the US in wars)
-He is pushing an increase in military spending (he bought another air craft carrier this year...do we really need one?)
-He is pushing a war (which is always costly)
-The federal borrowing limit was reached in Feb - we cannot borrow more money as a nation without congress approving an increase.
How the f*** does he plan to pay for all of this!?!?
I kept my mouth shut since the start of the war on this forum - I took my thoughts to the streets - your not going to convince anyone here - why work so hard to make this an uncomfortable place again…

Yeah, we poor stupid liberals. Always defending the evils of Saddam Hussein and belittling the noble G. W. Bush.

The attitude you guys are carrying is starting to bother me. We can't even post a joke here without you guys coming and chiming in with your 3 cents that you've already dropped in every other thread that has anything to do with Bush or the war (and even then that hasn't stopped you sometimes....).
Go take a look at this thread from not too long ago.
Unless I'm gravely mistaken, none of us showed up to try and rain on your parade, despite how potentially inflamatory that little image was. It's getting a little silly. Just like you know, as demonstrated by the quote, what we have to say, we also know what you're about to tell us about how Bush is an incompetent retard who wants to conquer the world one soverign nation at a time. I don't see the need for you to tell us that on every thread.
This isn't about you RC, that was a very well-thought-out post.
