Considering the tightly locked tunnel that these guys have worked themselves into over the years with their interpretation of biblical writings within the fundimentalist arena (maybe I should hold off from putting them along side the fundimentalists for a minute), I can understand where they are coming from, even if I don't agree with them in any way, shape, or form.
They really don't understand how cruel the statements they have made are. I would remind them to read the book more than the time they spend in front of the TV camera. We do NOT sit in judgement, much less should we rejoice in the pain of others, no matter how decadent the US may have become.
It seems to me that TV is like the Internet in the aspect that it can be a great tool, or it can be a great weapon of destruction.
The old saying that absolute power corrupts absolutley is so very true in terms of TV air time with these evangelists.
We are called to witness as to what our faith has done for us. We are NOT called, nor do we have the power to save a soul. We are NOT called to judge another, and in terms of saying that a person has been injured or has lost loved ones because of sin is a cruel and harsh statement upon those who suffer.
Would these two individuals prove their faith by helping those, who by their statements must be considered enemies, by feeding, clothing, giving drink, shelter and comforting words?
Likely not, but rather sit in their pulpit towers extolling thesmselves of their so called virtues, while many others suffer.
It puts me on the edge of puking, that a so called Christian leader of all things, could say such a thing.
It makes me sicker that these men make a claim to a faith they obviously don't practice, and put themselves publically along side of me in my beliefs.
I guess I am expecting too much from a group of people who use the Christian faith and it's name to build their buildings of crystal, and their coffers of gold, off the backs of those who always end up paying the price in the end.
GUilt is a tool of the devil, and judging by the statements these two men have made, we know who they serve.
Let CPU = Central Processing Unit (binary)
Let SEIC = Self-enhancing Instruction Set
Let BIOS = Input/Output System
Let MSD = Mass Storage Device
Human Brain/Thinking = CPU + SEIC + BIOS + MSD
Intelligence = CPU + SEIC + MSD
Motor Function Control = CPU + SEIC + BIOS

That's a reverse way to look at it.
The "media" is at fault for equating the term with "fanatical". The term started out as a definition first, and should not have to be apologized for in its original meaning.
But, I get your point...
