Their focus is to remove the regiem at the moment, and look for the WMD technology later.

Yes, and if we find Chemical weapons while moving through Iraq (As we just did)- think what we will find when we are looking hard. And remember, we found this 100 Acre Chemical Weapons plant in a town where inspectors had been. And you tell me inspections were working?

Here I my views:

I am against the war in Iraq.
I am for removing Saddam.
I am generally not against war.

Why am I against it? Becuase of the complete incompetence and lack of trying diplomatically. Because I feel that we did not exhaust every option as the administration keeps saying. Becuase we do not have world support. Becuase our "allies" don't have popular support within their contries. Becuase the administration completely ignored legitimate complaints by UN members as to why we were rushing to war. Becuase it sets a very dangerous precedent. Becuase I feel it will harm our country more by inflaming world anti-US setiment.
This is a good post. I agree with it totally, except for the italized statement above.

And there he is ::: your language Vorlon

Hi @all

what can I say to all this ???

1st I hate war
2nd I hate Saddam Husein
3rd History is very interested
4th where would the world go to ???

A few points to think about the Situation all over the World between this war.

Do you remember ??? Germany in it 's History had begun the 2nd World War. And Germany lost this war ( fortunately ). After this Situation the World stood in Silence.
Germany would be a democratic state. In a Democratic State there is a basic law or Condition. In the German basic law is the following paragraph:

To prepare a war of aggression is to be placed under punishment.

This is because the second World War. And this war vs the Iraq is an aggressive War. And so the Germans can do nothing in this war. Without an UN-legitimation. Any Aggressive War or Preparation of it here in Germany will be punished.

But that 's not all. You all know the Gulf War 1991??? At this time the Irak was the Aggressor. And at this time the Allied don 't remove Saddam Husein and it 's Regime from Iraq. Why was this at this time so ??? Cause there was Kuwait released. This war was legitimated through the UN.

And now ??? This Iraq War, today, has no legality through the UN. There is a "coalition of willingly" ??? Why ??? Look at my first sentences. Germany can 't do any things in this War, cause it 's an aggressive War.

And what 's with liberty of the Press ???

All the Press of "Willingly Countries" are preffered to get information. Is that the American Thing ??? Or is this the "Prasident Bush-Thing" ??? The Truth dies today at first.

Why are Civilian Right 's in the USA going to be limited ??? For security ??? I don 't know about that.... But it 's not a good sign for a democratic state....

And in the Future... What is going on in the future after this war ??? No one knows that. The arabic countries, what is going on there ??? No one knows that.... There are so many qustion... and no one can answer about these questions....

look to North Korea: They are dangerously, too. And they have atomic weapons. What will be if other evil countries are procuring atomic Weapons ???

There are so much questions.... And the World is going where ???

And so I say it again...

I hate Saddam Husein
I hate this war
I like american people, and i hope for all the soldiers wich must fight in this war

And I hope for the Mankind, that the World don 't fall in a third World War.

P.s.: Please be patient with my really bad english, I am a german. I hope that everyone understands, what I want to say :)
• RhettRhett (Not even a monkey)
Don't worry, you did fine. Although I don't agree with you :) You draw some parralels to the Second World war. The allies refused to stop Hitler at the Munich pact. They let him have his way- figuring that he would act resonably. Well, we cant afford to assume that Sadamm will act reasonable. He has proven he wont. And crazy people with chemical/biological weapons are not good. I would not call America the agressors in the sense that you make it. Sometimes war is the lesser of two evils. I would rather fight now then have thousands of civilians die later.
• SolitaireSolitaire Moderator
"the lesser evil" is still evil....

the III Reich and the stalinistic sowjet union can't be taken as a 1to1 comparison as those regimes may have had the same nature regarding structure and amount of opression but had much more impact regarding military potential than the iraq has and has had in the 1st gulf war.

If the first victim of war is truth, then this war started 12 years ago when the Iraqis said they'd adhere to the UN Resolutions.

well imo you totally messed up the meaning of this quote but if that's an adequate rethorical retour for you...

to all the fans of truth:

Kosh once said something really true about truth!
• ChickyChicky Moderator
Future ???

Where are parrallels to the second World war ???

I see little Parallels. But any questions I 've told to you, where are the answers ???

You must know, here in Germany there are Reports of arabic States around the Iraq. The civil people in this States like Jordanien are demonstrating against this war. And they do it in an especially thing. Saddam Husein is for them a Martyr. That can be a great Problem, cause the Arabic states are all Kingdoms or something similar.

What, if this war develops an Area conflagration ???
